Post your favourite pizza places! Or best recipe and method! Here is my favourite place. Great name too. Note the plates are warmed while you wait, then the tray is kept warm while you eat = cripsy until the last bite. Mmm. Hands down - 2 Amys in DC - http://www.2amyspizza.com/ One of 19 D.O.C certified resturants in the United States. Unbelieveable stuff.
My kids' in school one September: "This summer vacation my Dad made the whole family drive to <see all restaurant locations> and we ate Pizza every day. It was weird. My Mom says next year we are going to Europe."
Luigi's Pizza in Akron, OH. The comic strip Funky Winkerbean is based off the place! If you're ever in that corner of the world, get their pizza. Everything else is just meh there.
I downed quite a few pizzas from Roman Coin in Orlando, FL during my navy days, but my favorite has to be Pal Joey's in Illinois. http://www.paljoeys.com/ These days if I want good pizza & don't want to make it myself, I head to Pizzart in Spruce Pine, NC or Mellow Mushroom in Boone or Asheville...
You heard it from me, a LIFE LONG Chicagoan! Place is called Pizzaria Bianco and it is located in downtown Phoenix. If any of you have heard of it and have not been it lives up to the hype. Pizza is brick oven and really can't be compared to Chicago style (I love chicago style), but my wife and I enjoy it a great deal more. My little brother who lived in Italy for 6 months while at ASU and traveled the entire country claims that Pizzeria Bianco is almost on par with the best of Italy's brick oven pizza's. P.S. Best Chicago Pizza spots are Lou Malnati's, Edwardo's (for stuffed spinach) and Art of Pizza.
