I am looking to get either a 360 Spyder or F430 Scuderia as my first Ferrari. Just wondering what the annual maintenance costs would be and how much to set aside for repairs. Is the F430 more reliable than the 360?

    Thanks
    Ben

Since my being new to this forum, and not an owner myself as of yet, I do not have a lot to offer in question answering.

That said, your questions is a pretty wide open one, and IMO is comparing extremes. For one, you can probably get 2 to 2.5 nice 360's for the price of that Scuderia. If you are truly looking between those two, there is a LOT of choices that fall between them. Example, 08 F430, 200k range, still having 1 - 2 years of warranty.

I have found these 360's and 430's do not have as high of a maintenance cost associated as the older models that required engine removal for belt changes and such.

Oh man, that's funny and appropriate.

Depends upon the car you buy and how well it was serviced. Doing a search will yield you far more than a new thread will.

I picked up my 430 Spider in Dec. 07. I put 5K miles it by Dec. 08 and the one yr annual was $1400. I put another 5K last year and the 2yr annual plus new rear tires, plus new front brake pads and turn the rotors cost $3800. Now if you figure in insurance, registration, and depreciation it has cost about $20 per mile so far. Has it been worth it??? YES,YES, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

something doesn't sound right. It costs you $100,000 to drive the F430 each year?
    $2/mile?

    Lets do the math:

    Out the door $252K
    Insurance 2yrs $4800
    Registration 09 $2200
    Annuals,tires, brakes $5200
Cracked front rim & tire $3400
    Car worth about $150k

Costs total for 10k miles $114200 equals $11.42/mile plus gas and details

I bought my 430 new 8/05. Annual service averages about $700. I've also bought tires and brake pads though if I didn't track it, the brakes would last a very long time. I've had no out of pocket repair costs.
