Well I just booked my trip to Melb GP :D It will be my 10th GP attendance :D Most of those were Schumie wins too!

Either Schumie/Ferrari/Webber winning and I'll be happy :D

Anyone else planning to attend any races this year? 19 races this year, plenty of races to choose from! I'd also like to attend a 2nd GP this year, maybe Canada

I'd love to be able to go, but I've never been to a Grand Prix - I've never been able to afford it. :(

One day... *wistful gaze into middle-distance*

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I already bought tickets for Montreal. I am gonna be really busy this year with work, but if Schumi is doing well I will try to fit the German GP into my calendar, or maybe one of the later races like Suzuka or Korea.

GP's aren't really expensive. There are lots of options to get to one on a tight budget.

I'm still a student at university, so there's no budget for attending races - let alone a tight one.

As soon as I graduate and start work, it's something I'll get around to. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Montreal for myself is in the plans provided no monkey wrenches are thrown into the mix.

Definitely Silverstone for me, can't wait to see the new facilities they've hopefully built.

thinking of Hockenheim, the LMS Algarve (Portugal) race is the weekend prior...have hotel reservations at both locations - just waiting to see what happens with the first part of F1 season before committing to airfare to either location

I used to attend some GPs in Europe in the 60s and 70s, but I have given up since.
The prices have become exhorbitant, the spectacle is less interesting and the spectators are treated with contempt. Driving to and from GP venues is too much of a hassle too.

I wouldn't consider attending a 'far-away' GP on one of those new 'Tilke' circuits, and prefer watching racing on 'traditional' circuits like Silverstone, Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Spa or Monaco where pages of motorsport history were writen. I can't relate to 'slot-racing' in a car park!!

I remember attending a GP in Rheims in 1966 and gain entry to the paddock without problem, and even have a chat with Jack Brabham. The same at Clermont-Ferrand. That would just be impossible now, with spectators 'caged' far away from the paddocks.
Spa and Hockenheim used to be on my list too, and I saw a couple of GPs at Monza.

Now the costs have become prohibitive and I think that I can see the race better on TV. GP live coverage was inexistant on TV before the 80s. I watch the last Italian GP in my hotel room not 20 miles away from Monza circuit!! Had I attended the circuit, I would have wasted the whole day in traffic jams!!

Going to the Turkish GP while it lasts (gone from the calendar next year).

I lost exact count, but I'm guessing it'll be my 23rd GP in person.

Should things go well, i'd be heading for the Malaysian GP, Grandstand Tic this year :D

The last i attended was back in 2006. After MS retired, i just went for practise/quali. Never the race.

I'll be attending my 2nd Belgian Grand Prix and I'll be at Silverstone. I can't remember how many times I have attended that GP though!
