Spotted at the Motor Show in Essen, Germany in December 1989. s/n unknown. But I guess it might be familiar to the experts, because of the decals, Auto Becker link and the white Good Year script on the tires? Best, Peter Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Indeed. I wonder if there's really any advantage. . . Seems that if you want lower profile tires, you'd want a bigger wheel, but nobody's probably going to do THAT to a GTO.
You'll have to do a search, but yes, there is one particular Japanese car somewhere within this thread with larger wheels.
I think this car was tracked by the owner. In those days I also noticed these low-profile tires on tracked Testarossas.
The owner was Auto-Becker, formerly the German Ferrari importer in Düsseldorf. It wasn't tracked. However, for those that were not around in those years, such low profile tires had just become very fashionable as they looked more spectacular (for some people) and more "racy". Marcel Massini
If it wasn't tracked then it must just be the low picture quality because the tyres on the Auto-Becker car 'look' like slicks. Obviously just grainy pictures....
Joe, Marcel, Do you know this one, from another (french) forum ? The 288GTO from Auto Becker : I know this car ... (already posted pics on this thread, I was 13 years old when I took those pics, good memories...). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi at all, to correct some mistakes here: The German-Meshs were fitted in the factory already and some GTOs have Aluminium-Doors. Because the GTOs delivered to Autoexpo had them already on the trailer!! Enne
May be a repost, but do you have already seen this car ??? According to another forum, this could a be a real GTO, rebuild after a crash ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
