I've had these stretch marks under my arms for a while, I was just wondering if it is possible they could have been caused by overworking at the gym? I've been to the doctors today and he said probably not and I'm just "unlucky" to get them, and that they could just be from growth (I'm 18 years old). However a second opinion would be appreciated too.

    Thank you.

It's from growth. Nothing to worry about. I have them too...I used to do crazy pushups when I was 18, and I was convinced that was the cause. It wasn't.

stretch marks are the result of a few things...

rapid growth/expansion in a short time, and hormones. I got mine from being fat. Some people don't. Oh well.

    I agree with above. Being 18, you're still growing/changing.

I should mention that I got mine when I was 21-22 yr. old. Nothing new after that. My brother got quite a few "new" ones when he went from 260 to 320+ when he changed careers from Mechanic to an office job and didn't change his eating habits.

There are some creams that pregnant women use to avoid stretch makrs on their bellies

    Maybe this could help ?

Vitamin A & E are good for your skin as well

I think you're talking about cocoa butter, which doesn't work anyway. In fact, you really can't get rid of them so you should just deal with it. Everyone has them.

Yeah, they don't really bother me anymore. Plus the Doc said if anyone runs a mile after seeing them then they're probably not worth knowing anyways and I completely agree so oh well. :)
