Lets start now with the winner of the 4th GP de Venezuela 1958 winner with Jean Behra 0749, the white that you can only see the tail pipe and tail light is 1037, both belonging to Julio Pola at the time.

0933 GT was abandoned by owner at the Paris airport, then impounded by the French customs and stored for seven years. Sold 1967 at public auction to Monsieur D'Epenoux who in turn sold it to Pierre Bardinon.

Thank you Marcel I thought there was something more in that story, by the info I have the car was raced in 58 by Tosseli in the same race won by Behra and sold to Fayen, he raced it in Valencia and rented or sold to Tossa and Turco who raced it in Argentina in 1960, Tossa also raced it in Caracas Bogota 1960 in what seems to be the same car but DNF.

Julio Pola always raced with numer 117 an he owned 0749 and 1037 at the same time and to my knowledge never raced 0933.
What I meant is that it was the same race.

JJMCD, if you go to message 107 you will find a correct list of Venezuelan owners until 1980, wonder why some things are not corrected once the real information comes out, the first owner was Mauricio Marcotulli, and some are missing in the list of Barchetta, if you enlarge the second photo you posted you will see M MARCOTULLI on the fender in honor of the first owner.
You can see a letter from Lukas Hueni in my forum he authorized its publication and he gives some explanation.

Picture of the engine of 0619 in the Turco´s shop I also found some notes that I would like to find something more about with the experts.
What cars came with the camshaft # 130/17229/30, thanks.

Interesting it has the tipo112 12 port heads. Did many other TDFs have them?

Whow , this looked to me the magnificent 3 liter 250 TR engine,

In 1957 the CSI ruled world sports car championschip to MAX 3-liter.
    due or after Portago's death.
came with oilcooler twin Marelli distributors and only 12 plugs not 24.
Six throat Weber 38 DCN carbs. max 7500 revs.
could be with dry sump too . Relative low oilsump beneath in pic.
I dont think this engine was original in the car, Branco.
Is the engine number known ?
    But Mr Massini/Kare will know.
I have never heard of such engine in a TDF.

The little documentation that is available shows Pola as winner after the discualification of Fayen (I think they didnt consider the Interim 1377 legal for some reason) 2nd place car #2 with Marcotulli.
That is all I have found.

Sorry if there is some confusion, maybe you are right and it is not from the TDF they had sitting in the shop see post 118 but of 0758 I was just assuming.
But my question about the camshaft bumber 130/17229/30 is still on, in the notes I found shows 2 of the TDFs with those cams.

    No confusion at all,
this engine suits perfectly in the motorbay of a TDF.
But only in a LHD car (TDF were all LHD cars)
The steering box of a RHD will give space problems to the oilconnection tubes on the
    lower right side.
Will look in my technical filles of the hotter cams.
Will be interesting to know which type of engine was delivered at the works origanally.
must be an inside plug one.

    Hi,
    TDF Typo is always 508B/128B
engine 128C has only one distributor.
You're car has a special steeringratio 20:1 and orther distributors.(2)
thats is what I could find.
Interesting is if the factory upgraded this 128B engine (sheets).

Thanks for the info, mi question about the camshaft number is because the notes I found say that 0749 and 1037 had those cams installed and also that this is the cam for the TR250, just wanted to make sure about that detail.
