But Bernie wasn't the one being threatened with legal action from Stefan GP and he has little say in who gets accepted to join the grid for 2010.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the FIA ignore Stefan GP should one of the new teams not make to the grid and run the season one team short.

While that's all true, let's not be holier than the Pope.

Money talks. Bernie is the holder of the $$$ bag. Nuff said.

But the new management in charge of the FIA might like to show Bernie and everybody else that there's a new sheriff in town. ;)

wind tunnel testing should commence next week w/ a complete car. they are moving fast at this point.

don't underestimate the rescources within 100 mile radius of charlotte...they will make the grid. they will not be fast but their goal for 2010 has been to place a car on the grid and to do it in a non traditional (throwback) style.

no Isobel not just you. Can they not afford real lighting in the building? wonder who the design director is related to - lots of Andersons in this outfit - how about his comment -> Jason Anderson - design director - who indicates that the car is coming along 'pretty good, and its a lot of work'.

Mike Draisey - Engine Installation - also comments on his background, and the progress the team is making. Draisey also comments on changes in 2010 Formula One regulations which require the car to go the full race distance on one load of fuel. In addition, Draisey shares his thoughts regarding the return of Cosworth to Formula One in 2010 - the engine manufacturer will support half the field of 12 teams.

To me there's an abundant lack of professionalism in the video and the "players" talk and give the appearance of an amateur show that someone would submit on those home video programs!

    Carol

they might consider subletting some of the vast open space in their building

I think that was by design. At least that's the impression I got.

I have to agree with Carol here.

Most of the other factories when shown have team members dressed in a more professional manner and usually have some semblance of a uniform appearance with team logos on their shirts for example.

Also, the building looks bare and I hate to say it, but did anyone else note what appear to be tables bought at Sam's for the employees to work at? Most businesses have their employees sitting at cubicles or workstations at the very least. It has the appearance of a hastily thrown together Career Day where job applicants go to a hotel with a fistfull of resumes. Unprofessional doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.

Also, the uneasiness of the individuals interviewed speaks volumes...

It seems the harder they try, the more unconvincing it looks...

Not to mention that guy looks just like a homeless guy I saw on the corner last week! The two guys he is talking to are dressed decently, but I can't believe what he is wearing in a professional setting - much less the fact that he looks like he just got out of bed. He should try a comb next time he is going to be on video!

sterotypically the appearance and comments he made go hand in hand

thanks Frank - I agree with your comments also about the tables - I did notice them but the vast white starkness overpowered them! They could have at least gone to the IKEA in Charlotte.

Sorry to burst your bubble but all the rest of America (continent) considers America a continent. Just US people thing America refers to them.

Go to any other country and talk to the people and you will see.

This is just a clarification by the way :)

Sorry to burst yours but I have traveled quite a lot and lived in several countries outside of the USA and I can tell you that to everyone I have spoken with "America" means the USA.

It's got nothing to do with arrogance, it's simply the common usage of the word... United States of America. Abbreviated to America. When referring to countries, American means of the USA.

I have Brazilian, Colombian, Peruvian, Argentinian friends (who live in those countries) and I don't know a single one that would ever refer to themselves as "American" or would consider themselves American. Actually, I am American to them.

No Mike you're wrong. Don't you remember all the talk about Piquet being the first American to win the WDC after Mario? Followed by American Senna and American Villenueve. And American Massa almost did it in 2008... :D

    Jason Anderson is........wait for it.........

    Son of one KEN ANDERSON!

Sure baffled me with his intellectual analysis of Grand Prix racing.

When Hobbs goes in there, I will believe in the whole thing.

Good to see they're eating healthy, box of clementines on the desk in the design office and 1/2 empty water bottle on the bench in the opening shot.

Carol, are you suggesting we move OUR team in there? We should issue some kind of press release as to why we aren't going to test. Nothing to do with having no car, we know we'll be last, so we won't bother building any toasters or even going, Mr E will send us the checks.

I might be more impressed if the Design Director didn't have a floor lamp in the corner from Costco.

    "How is it going?"

    "It's a lot of work"

    "Is it what you expected?

    "It's a lot of work"

"What will it feel like when it finally fires up?"

"It's a lot of work -- Oh, excuse me... Domino's is here. I better eat it before the pizza gets cold".

Also like Varfromsharp comment "what's it going to feel like when the car goes on track 'somewhere' in the world?"

JA- "It's been a lot of brain damage (?)"
