Candy and are planning a trip to Italy in May. We were told by our local dealer Ferrari of Seattle to contact FOA to make our factory tour reservations. As of January 4th, 2010 you now have to make your request thru your dealer and provide proof of ownership of a Ferrari. As our cars are all in our companies' name we had to send both registration and insurance papers that listed us as drivers. To complicate matters even more when we were married Candy did not take my last name(smart girl), so we have Ferrari's in a company name, and 2 different last named drivers.

The change is, now all tour requests must now be made through your local dealer with proper documentation. The dealer then forwards your request to FOA and they then make a determination, and then notify the dealer, who in turn notifies you. Sounds a lot more complicated that the direct approach which is no longer availible. You also must include optional dates for your tour.

Just hope this all works out!!!

If it don't fit, force it, if it breaks, it needed replacement anyway

Friends don't let friends use Framm filters on their Ferrari's

This is not new - it was done this way by our dealer in Houston many years ago. We got the exact date we requested.

You can just contact FNA direct and make arrangement with them and once you have everything confirm with FNA they will then send you confirmation letter of the tour schedule.
Well at least that's how I did it 2 years ago.

We did contact FNA and they told us as of the 1st of the year ALL factory tour requests must now come thru the our local dealer. They went on to tell Candy this change was in effect as of January 4th 2010.

Sounds like the reason for passing it off might be two fold: 1) put the onus on the dealer to weed out interested parties who are in fact owner's and that might be interested in a tour? 2) allow the dealers to talk to customers, update data and see if they're interested in selling or buying? After this I'm sure that eligible names are then sent to FNA anyway.

Didn't know this was "new" - when I went last year, we had to prove ownership by sending them the registration.

How times change. I used to stay in Milan quite a lot. Sometimes just used to jump on a train to Modena, bus to Maranello and turn up at the gate. It was no problem then, to have a look see.
Chances of doing that now are next to zero.

I just got off the 'phone with the Dutch Ferrari importer Kroymans. They said the factory will not address requests at the moment (only from March 1st onwards) and they also said it is only possible to request a visit if you have a new Ferrari on order.

They are going to try for me anyway (I don't have a new car on order) at the beginning of March.

I'll report back as soon as I have any news.

    Best, Peter

They told me to go through my local dealer as well. I hope they are not changing it to new ferrari purchases only.

I submitted a request thru my "dealer". I have not done any business with them in the recent past... but I have been known to take up space there from time to time!

they forwarded everything to FNA; FNA then contacted me about dates. I'm signed, sealed and almost delivered for May 14

and my car is 25 years old...

I had my paperwork in late summer 2009; FNA would not give me a slot till a few weeks ago, citing Ferrari's lack of a schedule for 2010 at the time.

BTW, you need to be somewhat flexible with the dates.

We had our local dealer Ferrari of Seattle(Mark) send our request for a factory tour last weeek ,after we were told by FOA to go thru our dealer, as the rules has changed as of the 1st of the year.

Mark requested ownership documentation to be sent with our proposed dates to FOA. Today Mark called Candy and the requested dates were approved and we will be sitting in room 501, listening and watching the action thru the front gate of the factory the last week of April. No metion of needing a new car on order to qualify, they accomodated us with our specific dates.

    Our thanks to Ferrari of

I contacted our dealer to arrange for a tour. I must say I was very impressed with the professional manner in which we were treated. I was prepared with all contact information, vehicle information etc and I made sure to let them know that I am registered as an owner.
After I contacted them they requested a few alternate dates in case they could not accommodate us. We requested a date as close as possible prior to the Italian Grand Prix, with two alternates. They confirmed the date we requested the same day, and sent the confirmation via email.

I was told to go thru my local "dealer" by FNA when I called, which was Ferrari of Beverly Hills.
I have not done any business with them and my car is 15 years old and I got the give us your phone number and we will call you back routine.
So I called FNA back after a week of no call/no response from Ferrari of Beverly Hills and informed FNA and they set me up directly.
I'm signed, sealed and delivered for Friday May 14, at 2:30pm and staying in room 501 at Planet Hotel as well.

    Jeff :)

In 2001 I thought I could just show up, and that did not work. In 2008 I called the dealer (Ferrari of Denver) and they took care of calling FNA.

Very easy, got the date that we needed, and had a great time :)

    (PH #501 as well)

    Have fun!
