308/328 roof rubbers

We are looking at replacing the roof and door rubbers on a '78 308GTS. I see that the parts list shows an "early" and a "late" set of rubbers. My question is whether the later rubbers are an improvement on the early ones and therefore whether they will fit the early 308?

What do you mean by "rubbers"? If you mean the long piece that starts at one A piller, goes down round the door, over the top, round the other door & up the other A pillar then that's easily availible. I'm not aware that there is a difference in parts for different years on that - in fact I think the same part fits all 308s and 328s.

If OTOH you mean the piece that goes across the top of the windscreen, well, good luck! Its NLA from Ferrari & so if you can find one it will be a matter of how much you are willing to pay for it.

Ricambi had one a while ago, but may now have sold it.

When I got my new one, Russ at FerrParts wanted my old one (torn). He found someone who was going to use it to create a mold and start making repops. Don't know where this project is as I have the new one now. Anyone who needs one should check with Russ and see if those are being made yet.

I need a new one for my 78' GTS as well. The parts manual shows the part is 60433505 and shows on Ricambi as being supercede by 61705500. 61705500 is the part listed for 308QV and 328 so I imagine this is the "late" version.
