Who is tracking Friday at Cavallino? - anybody from South Florida? - I was going to take it easy with my Scud but my wife wants me to take her, my son is coming from Atlanta and has never been on any track and I have a pro driver best buddy coming with his wife so I guess it is going to cost me a set of tires and a full service

Me and one of my good friends are going. Were taking his 348. Might track it. Are you in South FL? I think I have seen you driving your car there before.

Matt Reynolds is bringing his new white 16m - betting Bill Scherer will be there in his challenge car, Preston Henn of course with an amazing arsenal of new and vintage and Ronnie has an allstar line up from Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale - wouldnt be surprised to see Craig Zinn and some of the Dade County crew too.

Was your car parked next to a bunch of GT3's for a while?

Ronnie introduced us last Saturday in the parts dept.

I am looking forward to seeing you on Friday John & will bring Jeff with me -

By the way Friday night is a Club session after Cavallino finishes we will run beginning at 5:30 - probably going to run the Lotus & the new GT3 - you are welcome to join us as my guest - I am thinking it should be a fun evening I think Ronnie and some of the other guys will stay for the Club session as well - we will have 3 or 4 hours of open track time.

Were you planning on letting your son loose on-track in the Scuderia? I've attended every Cavallino since its inception (19 years ago) and love the event, but despite how noticably improved the track days are this is not the event for someone with no experience. With all due respect, get him some instruction and experience before sending him out in that car, for his sake and ours!

I'll have the PF on the track Friday only. I'm very excited, although I'll be moving at a snail's pace, sliding around turns on the Blockleys.

    Forza,

I'm coming down from NH Thursday night. My wife wants to hit the Spa at PGA National so I was thinking of driving over to the track to take in the sights and sounds. Is there a place where the FCA or FChat folks are hanging out?

Since I've never been over to the track is it obvious where to park and where to look for people?

Yes it is obvious. After the gate where you sign the waivers, go to the left and park under the trees. Then wander around to check out the machinery. Say hi to some drivers, then I usually head to the far end of the track where there is a small set of stands to watch the cars going through some turns. Say hi if you see me.

in my opinion the stands the one behing the tire wall affords a great view of the long straight away and the turn entrance and exit - by far one of the best vantages for photos - not unusual on Friday to see $50m in vintage Ferraris in that one turn.
