I read a few posts about plugs for the QV. I bought a set of NGK DPR9EIX-9 for mine. Yet to fit them as gapped and cleaned the ones in mine agin just to check on something. The car has been garage bound for about 6 weeks due to the weather and desperate to take her out for a run!! Will try the new plugs and see if it makes a difference. Biggest change so far is with Raymonds ignition box

Those early SW gauges were just terrible to view. The later Veglia gauges were much better for the driver and that's why Lambo improved on that along with other items. Just like with most cars the Lamborghini tried to improve the faults of the earlier models. Look at the Miura for example. The later SV's were the best of the bunch. It's amusing how people can get talked into maybe paying thousands of dollars more for insignificant features. But to each his own.

Also the blue/white S1 1121038 was for sale for a while at a "asking" price of $140K. Was said to have had a full engine rebuid.

Following that logic, by far the most valuable Countach has to be the Annivesario.

However, the market and logic don't always align, and same is true of all markets.

i fully agree the countach world is small, i have to add that the 4 liter countach world is much smaller with less than 400 cars around ...so i think i got what car we are talking about

lamborghini tried to improve the car with all different version
the key here is "tried" because in some way the car really improved, in some others (weight, design for example ) it did not

aniway to me the early cars are cool, so anyone who find me a good S1 for 140k$ (or a good S2 for around 100k$ ) , please contact me asap: i am a buyer!

Its all about supply and demand, just like an auction. 2 people want it and don't want to lose, the sky's the limit. Today can be very different than tomorrow, depending on what's for sale and who is looking. Know your price and what you want, the market will decide.

I'd like to get you a really nice one for under $100k, but I suspect that the reality is that an unmodified nice one will be between $100k and $150k for a time warp perfectly maintained car. The upper number might be a bit high but its reality I think.

I almost had to clear up this post, but I see you made it a bit clearer on post 5500. You made it sound like the S2 doesn't have 45mm carbs and has the same wheel as all the smooth-finished wheels. Careful Joe, you know how sensitive us S2 owners are about our circumcised Campy Countach wheel. :)

Lets just say that by post # 5500 I had had a cup of coffee, was by then thinking more clearly, and came to my senses in the nick of time. Phew, that was close!

Hey do you recall that in the early 80s at least one S1 owner had the extrusions on the Bravo wheels ground away because he wanted the latest & greatest oh-so-cool 'smooth' finish Campagnolos :-0

    How times change.

With all the S1 fuss lately, I may or may not have posted this before (cant remember) but the date of the image is April 26th 1979 and there inside the original Lamborghini factory is not one, not two, but THREE brand new S1 cars awaiting delivery!

in US: Joe's post is right on the numbers imo
in Europe: 100k euro for an average car to 130k euro for the great examples, may be 140k for an all original car, low miles, perfect condition car (there are some not so good cars for sale for 140k-190k euro but they never sell)

SW absolutely suck. I can confirm!
I think the problem is while driving and you happen to glance at the gauges, you wind up seeing the trees, power lines, clouds!!!!
    Why you ask?????
Because the glass is NOT tilted downward. Go look at gauges in most car, they are plastic or pitched!
