In addition to the previously announced Ferrari 400 Superamerica Cabriolet Pininfarina, RM added a five-strong Ferrari collection to its inaugural Monaco sale. Several biggies are involved, including a 250 GT TDF (0925GT) and 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta (0170ET).

Never heard a final answer whether or not this Monaco sale will replace the Ferrari Leggenda, but given the schedule and the strong Ferrari line-up, one can assume that it happening.

The last I heard was that RM would have auctions at Monaco and Maranello on alternate years.

The 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta (0170ET) is a beautiful car with Dutch (Zandvoort) and MM race history. I dont understand why the current owner wants to sell as he just bought it (somewhere in 2009).

    Ciao

Good catch on the 225 Sport - it sold for $781,000 at RM Monterey. Perhaps they are trying to pick up some quick based on the strong Euro.

Both that car and the TdF were for sale at Mario Bernardi not that long ago (about a year ago...)

Sold to a well-known F-Chatter, of course, and much discussed in this forum.

With the loss on commission they're still going to need a very strong sale, I would think.

That was (as mentioned) a different car (168) and had/has a wrong engine.
As far as I know, 170 is a very correct car (although had many owners) and at that price range (600-800k Euro) very interesting.
    Ciao

0168ED has wrong block, rest of engine corect
(incliding numbers matched heads out of competition dept from Ferrari, in period)

I was under the impression 0170ET has a non original engine also.

I can't find mention of anything about it being swapped or why.
