I think I may have found the car I am looking for: here is a link
    http://www.prestigeimports.com/used/Ferrari/2006-Ferrari-430-81380d9e0a0a00640096b55562ee10a8.htm?useHistory=true

Has anyone heard of Prestige Imports?
This car is a 2006 F430 Spyder with 9,800 miles. The car fax report looks good and the dealership is telling me that it is currently at the Collection in Coral Gables getting an oil change. They have a record of all the services which i have requested. I am still negotiating on the price $160,000.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Prestige has been around a while. They are an authorized Lamborghini dealer. I have no personal experience with them, however.

The car looks nice, has decent options but beware of the tan/black steering wheel. If you like it, don't worry about it but it's very rare and not that desireable IMO. It may make a resale in the future more difficult. Again if you like it, ignore the last statement. 160 is slightly high but not outrageous. I definitely would offer much lower to begin. A dealer is NC has a similar car for asking price of 200!

Do not get in a rush to buy. Have you driven one? If not, drive a 6 speed and an F1, make that decision, then find EXACTLY what you want and negotiate, negotiate..

    PPI is a must.

Bret is cool. Dont know how much he stands behind used cars but they seem to have a decent rep.

They worked on a friends Gallardo and did a good job on that

My only experience with Prestige Imports goes back to 1997 when I was looking at a used Porsche 968 they had. I test drove it, it was ok but when I popped the trunk I noticed that underneath the carpet, the paint did not match the rest of the car. I asked if it had been in an accident and they swore that it had never been in one. I told them that my father also owned a 968 and that the paint was supposed to match. They were adamant that it was exactly as it had left the factory. I told the manager that I would buy it with one condition: if I took it to an authorized Porsche dealer and they told me that the car was hit from the rear, he would refund all my money. At that point they admitted that the car had been in a rear end accident. Similar incident happened a few years earlier when my dad almost bought a 944S2 from them.

That was 13 years ago so maybe things have changed.

Thank you all for your opinion, I really appreciate it. Th car fax report doesn't show anything significant and I've even contacted the 2 places where it has been serviced. The dealer in Utah gave me lots of information but the one in Broward would not because I am not the owner. So I am trying to get Prestige to get me the copy; they said it was not a problem. I am trying to bring them down to 155,000 because of the mileage 9,860. Would this be reasonable you think?

    Thank you again

This is why I prefer to deal with a Ferrari dealership when making such a large purchase.
The pre-owned cars now are certified from the dealership.

Prestige is a legit franchise dealership. They are Audi, Lambo, Lotus, etc. If you can't trust them, then we all need to start driving Hyundais, they have the best warranty.

Regardless of who, what, where or when........every car is unique, and despite best efforts to be truthful, dealer's typically don't spend enough time with any cars to truly know every minute detail about them - both good and bad knowledge.

IMO, Brett has a quality operation there, so that's a plus. However, before buying a car from anyone, especially a large purchase, it's wise to have a pre-purchase inpection (PPI) done by a reputable shop for your piece of mind before plunking down the dough.

I think 155 is a fair price. Not a steal but reasonable. Negotiate hard.

As someone here once wrote so eloquently, " If your first offer doesn't embarass you, then it's too high".

Don't be afraid to walk. There are others out there.
