Winkleman has done it this time...told us all there would NOT be a SUV built by Lamborghini...we say HA...there IS a Lamborghini SUV and it's disguised as the Lp670! No longer does the SV stand for superveloce...it now means SNOW VEHICLE!

Roy is on his road trip and just passed over Donner Pass on the way into Sacramento...where the warning signs say:

    Semi trucks require chains.

Passenger vehicles require AWD and Traction Control tires.

Well...seeing as how the 670 is equipped with both....they let him pass!

CHP had to turn around because he couldn't believe the UFO sighting on the pass...so a few photos later and down the mountain they came....problem free!

Way to go Lambo! Roy says the car handles better than any of his SUV's have ever handled in the snow and ice!

Not a real exciting day..weather was clear till Donner Pass I-80, westbound over Truckee. Snow, and the car performed FLAWLESSLY...

I can easily see why in Europe they drive their Lambos up tot he ski pass ect etc..the car seriously drove better than my own 4WD Denali, it was that good.

Once on the west side of the mountains solid solid rain all the way into Frisco...I kept thinking I took a wrong turn somewhere and was back in Seattle.

Stopped at BMCD Lambo San Fran, they checked out the "filthy" car, could not believe I was driving it LOL LOL

All fluids check out great, has not used any oil since 1500 mile oil change, my LP640 used to use a bit but this 670 nothing in 3000 miles plus..all other things checked out great..

OH by the way, the headlamp washers REALLY work and were great last night comijng into Reno.

Tommorrow off to LA, stay the night, then the last leg into Scottsdale.

FYI, I also have tons of pics, but cant pst till home as I have no idea how to get them from the camera to the computer to a posting..and NO I dont want to learn, that is why I have an assit in the office. But they will be worth the wait, some are so amazing they should be made into posters!!

Roy, you may have posted this, but did you put on any winter/all weather tires on it for snow or just rolling the OEM's. It would seem those SO tires would slip even with AWD and LSD?

I believe he took the tires from his 6.0 he used last winter and put them on the SV. But yes, he did put winter tires on it.

Just in...Roy is about 100 miles from LA now...with a new obstacle in front of him...of course it has been raining non stop since he left Gilroy, and not the sprinkle kind of rain, the kind that keeps you from speeding at all! LOL

New warning signs..."Warning. CHP escorting vehicles in groups over the Grapevine. Expect delays due to snow and weather conditions".

Something tells me Roy is about to ask to lead the pack. LOL

I was talking about the three pics above the one at DE! I'm used to total coverage of slush, looks like the rockers keep the sides cleaner than most cars...

In Newport Beach for the night, then off to Scottsdale tomorrow, last leg of the trip.

I love this car, by far the BEST Murcie I have ever had. FLAWLESS operation and the comfort and drive is just out of this world, not to mention the speed and cruise in the car. The snow tires are worth EVERY FRICKN penny to enjoy your car year round in all weather conditions.

SO far according to the cars on-baord computer...

    Avg trip speed 78MPH

    Avg MPG, 20.8

    GREAT!!

Here is one of my fav pics so far..

That average ois ONLY on the HWY. I think when it is in 6th gear and just crusing...it does not eat the fuel..

add in city and getting onm it anf yes..it goes way down..

I commend you Roy for driving that monster whenever you can, more power to you! You should to a cross country trip to MA so I can see it in person! :)
