    M. Prunet,

Did you notice the Ottavio Guarducci's Scaglietti spyder is the one you called "the yellow stuff" ?

Why the "yellow stuff" would not be s/n 0562M ??

    branko,
this is not the 55-edition of that race! The Maserati 300S shown here was a Factory works-car in 1955 and was driven in short-nose-version and painted red by Fangio (no.18) who finished 1st. OA.

    Ciao!

    One funny thing :

in the showroom, the two Scaglietti spyders are not the real #12 and #14 (335 S) but the two 250 TR than ran at Caracas with numbers 18 (at left) and 16 (at right), I mean s/n 0704 and 0666 !!!

That was the term used by M. Prunet and I think it's a good term when you seen the pics of this Scaglietti spyder...

A friend that visits FC and my forum pointed out something that the experts might answer,
he says that the yellow car can't be 0562 because it is neccesary to stretch the chassis to install the V12.

If a V12 can be fitted in a 166 MM/53 chassis, nothing is impossible with your incredible Venezuelan fellows. Furthermore, I'm 100 % sure the yellow stuff is not born with a V12...

    Branko,
You're foto above shows clearly and without any doubt a Ferrari V12 in this yellow car.

Of course it's a V12. The problem is to understand if a V12 can be fitted in a 500 Mondial or a 750 Monza....

    A 250GT V12 was installed in #0470M in the 80's.

When you see what the Venezuelan were able to do with their cars, I can't see where is the problem to fit a V12 in a 4 cylinders Scaglietti spyder !!

That's what I mean. No problem. And I think it's not necessary to stretch the chassis. Only some modifications.
