Beautiful and congrats! Black/red IMO is the best combo for an Enzo. But I think I would have sold the F50 and kept the F40. Enjoy!
Jeffrey, enjoy. It was only a matter of time... (http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=139132638&postcount=6)
Jeff- You live in Newport Beach, CA = my favorite place You now own an Enzo = my favorite Fcar You own a black Enzo = my favorite color for an Enzo Are you also dating Megan Fox? = my favorite girl! Geno.
Geno - Those of us who are fortunate enough to reside in Newport Beach and to have the opportunity to enjoy our surroundings in a fine automobile are truly blessed (maybe not this particular week with a foot of rain but at least 98% of the time we're good!). I'd have to agree that the Enzo is close to the top of the food chain (at least my food chain) and a black Enzo is the cherry on top! Unfortunately I can't complete your dream list with Megan Fox but I believe my significant other holds her own very well. She's a keeper along with the Enzo! Here's a little montage just for you! Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes and congratulatory remarks! I haven't had a chance to drive the car much (since we're literally drowning here in SoCal right now). I did take it for a quick spin between the storms and my initial reaction to the car is that it's a Stradale on (super) steroids! Or maybe the description of a Stradale being a junior (very junior) Enzo might be accurate! The feeling is as similar as it is different but a few things are very reminiscent of the CS in the sense that the car has no ergonomics to speak of, no sound proofing (you hear all the rocks hit the wheel wells and road noise), and you essentially have the sensation of being in a purpose built race inspired car! Definitely not a bad thing IMO! I've always been a fan of Stradales and the Enzo is the King Kong version of that car as far as I can tell! What I am most interested in experiencing is a comparison between my CGT and the Enzo. The CGT is my favorite car and according to a few other Enzo owners who also own CGTs - there is no comparison. The Enzo is (supposedly) in a class by itself. Since I have such a high regard for my CGT I will have to experience this euphoria myself to see if it's really true! More to follow when the weather clears!
Nice quick summary Jeffrey! That's exactly the first thing I thought - CS on super steroids! Turn off all aids, find a big spot, and just floor it! It's crazy! BTW, the CS really is a baby Enzo... they were built at the same time and share many parts. I'd love to hear your feelings about the CGT and Enzo. My first impression of the Enzo was that it was more race-like then luxurious, and had more power at all RPM and much faster throttle response. The CGT is a great GT. The Enzo definitely weighs more on the track side, but it does have plenty of storage! Also, the CGT tends to disappear when parked next to the Enzo, especially when the Enzo doors are up... those Italians really know how to show-off.
Congrats! (although... I would have kept the F40 instead ) Looking forward to the pictures with the F50!
Fantastic guys! I'm hoping my luck will finally change this year and that I can finally get a loan to start my business (first week of February...COO of the bank was very eager to talk to me ASAP!). Hopefully I can join the 2 of you with hypercar ownership some time this decade! Wish me luck!
I somehow missed this post. Congrats Jeffrey! You got my favorite color in an Enzo. Hopefully the weather will improve soon and you can give it some stick.

First off, congratulations Tipo - drive it safely mate. Do keep us updated on comparisons - not just with your CGT, but also, perhaps more interestingly, with your F50. I'd be very interested to hear how they compare from the point of view of "sensations" and feeling. Evo described the F50 as a "club sport Enzo - even purer and more exciting as it was shorn of all driver aids" (or something approximating to that ) The CGT is also my favourite car. I've only ever driven the CGT with a straight-through Tubi, and I found it everybit as exciting as the Enzo - if anything I found that the "comparative" difficulty in driving it and the more knife-edge handling made it even more exciting than the Enzo. Bill? Going forward, I wonder whether your experience as the OWNER of all three will bear that out. I've had a go in all three, but I'm no owner (yet!). Anyway, sorry to ramble and congratulations once more. Your previous "montage post" made me smile. The American dream is alive and well!
When you own and are not afraid to drive these cars hard (for me, 5,000+ miles CGT, 2,000+ miles Enzo) you start to see different things. If you just consider the driving experience on the street, it's great to take the CGT out with the tops off. It's comfortable, fun, and has a great sound. The engine really revs quickly, and the sound is great. You need to be really careful because when it oversteers, it usually happens faster than you can correct. So I'm very cautious and usually avoid high-speeds in turns.Too many of my friends have crashed their CGT's because of this. You need to be really careful not to over correct in the CGT. Just kind of let it do it's own thing and baby it along when it gets a little out of hand. I now find myself (1 year later with the Enzo) driving the Enzo more than the CGT because it stimulates my senses more. The engine is louder, more power at all RPM (especially low), instant throttle response, better visibility. I think I like the CGT sound better, but the Enzo's power is more thrilling. I also like how light the steering is, in my opinion much lighter than the CGT. Of course, some people may say you can't feel the road surface through the wheel (like you do in many older cars), but I like the extreme lightness. Personally, to me, a good sport's car should do everything you want the instant you want it (no delay), and to an extreme. In my opinion, the Enzo does that better than the CGT, especially with the help of the paddles. Also, the Enzo does seem to react slower when oversteering, so that gives me more comfort in high-speed turns. At very high speeds (190+) the Enzo is great during runway events. It just keeps pulling and is straight as an arrow! The CGT really dies at those speeds and doesn't feel as stable. Now, the older cars (like the F40) are a totally different animal. I'll need to drive the F40 more, but it does have a lot of "character" in just the few miles I've driven it. I'm sure I can be much faster in the Enzo and CGT, but I'm not yet sure if the F40 might be more fun on the street because of the charm associated with the very simple way things were done 20 years ago. Give me 2,000 miles or a year or so.
