Hello: This is my first post to this forum and my contribution is this picture of a Venezuelan 250 GT Cupe Boano or Ellena; I cannot tell which body it is and it is upt to the experts! I took this photo in front of a hotel in Cúcuta City, Colombia, while attending a race held right at the border between Colombia and Venezuela in 1962. So far I have not been able to stablish its s/n and owners. Any help from you all? (Photo has Jorge Salgado copy right!) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi and welcome, again an Ellena. And with the same unusual side deflector, I would say it's the same Ellena than above s/n 0745GT. Nice shot !!
I would vote for 0745GT too. the side deflector are very rare on a Ellena coupe. Must be specially made for this model. hood fitts in later 1960th style cars. C.
Thanks Aardy an Buurman for your quick response. How about the engine hood scoop? I have not seen it in any other Boano/Ellena...so far
Hi,tell us how you know this. You must have some details on this. What ever, it's still a great picture. just one man's opinion tongascrew
Take the time to compare my pic on post #206 with the pic from post #190. I'm sure you will find yourself...

Edoardo Magnone owned 0562 and he assures that the yellow car has nothing to do with the car he owned, 0562 chassis was not modified in any way to make a V12 fit into it, he says that if you dont stretch the chassis you have to cut some internal tubing to give forward room for the V12 and his chassis was intact in the late 70s. branko 0562 en late 70s Image Unavailable, Please Login
With all these body modifications, you will not make me believe that 0562M still had its original engine in 70's... And very curious to see 0562M modified to looks like a pontoon 250 TR... ... without V12 in it ??
I never said it had the original engine, at the time of that photo it had a Chevrolet engine, what was not modified at all was the engine bay, at that time that car was driven daily to work. branko
I really don't know, I am just posting what the owner of the car at the time is writing me, he went thru all the trouble to make his 0534 in a 250 Monza and at the end decided not to, after he met with people the made the Cornacchia's car and with his late friend Manfredo Lippmann that owned it. branko
The Ferrari in this hillclimb could be de Mercedes engined car, the event was won by Fayen, still looking for more photos and results, the year 1957. branko Image Unavailable, Please Login
You know I always thought it was 0534. M. Prunet said the same thing in this thread. But still some work to be 100% sure...
I did something, maybe silly but it shows some consistency,to me, lets see what you guys think. branko Image Unavailable, Please Login
