Here you go Carbon. NNO or whatever. I remember your old threads back when the conspiracry theories were flying back a few years ago. This is a paper published by "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, one of the most famous top fuel drag racers of all time and a true pioneer in the sport. He is a huge UFO proponent............It is pretty long so grab yourself something to drink, settle back and dive in........Kinda interesting......

Very interesting, I never knew this other side of Big Daddy. He has a bit of a sense of humor as well (I've witnessed this before) I particularly liked the comment about Bill Clinton and Alan Greenspan. ;)

He would be a perfect guest for George Noory on Coast to Coast AM (if he hasn't been already).

What a load of BS, I want my 10 minutes back! I've never read a worse mix-up of conspiracy theories floating around. Apart from being completely off every reasonable logic (-> his main point: aliens are so advanced that they can produce "biological robotos" but want us as slaves), I laughed about his "proof" that the media was playing along in the conspiracy:

    :D

Uh, and this one, apart from having no sense at all,...

... is downright offensive towards the victims in said "fishing villages"...

Tough call. The feller does have more seat time in a UFO than L. Ron.

Big Daddy comes off as a kook. He takes every conspiracy theory and wraps them up into one package and its going to be hard for anyone to swallow that pill unless they already lean towards the extreme fringes.

In my 20s I used to be a big UFO/Alien/conspiracy guy. I read all the original texts Big Daddy is referring to. Almost all of them are presented in a much better way than he himself presents it.

Its interesting reading and there are a lot of things brought up that still cant be explained. The big problem with these researchers is they reach too far. They arent happy with sticking to the few select *real* mysteries and questionable events. They have to jump to outrageous conclusions and concoct elaborate stories to tie everything together.

However there is one researcher who does extremely solid work and is not a kook. I dont agree with everything he writes but he presents fascinating evidence without jumping to crazy conclusions.

For anyone interested his name is Graham Hancock and his Pièce de résistance is his book 'Fingerprints of the Gods'. I used to give out copies to people because out of all the crazy alien.conspiracy books ive read, this one is solid.

Don't get me wrong. I never said I agreed with him. I just thought this side of him is interesting.....I wonder if it has anything to do with what the g forces when accelerating in a top fuel car and then hitting the chute and decelerating even quicker have on the brain? Just a thought.....

Hard to believe Big Daddy was so "deep". I too read things like Monuments of Mars, and while it's hard NOT to believe there's some form of life in the vast universe...this is downright kooky (as others noted).

Big will always be one of my childhood racing heroes, but this is nuts!
