These have just become available in Oz and I'd like to know if you feel as I do that they are a little too "bling" and gay to wear out in public for normal use.

The fitment is superb and the narrow style makes it ideal for the close proximity of brake and accelerator pedals of the F430.
The red is like a shiny patent leather look just in case the photo is a little hard to realise.

    Rob.

I feel they are too much, if they were not red, but white. I think that would look perfect. They seem like more of a driving shoe than a everyday shoe though. If you own a Ferrari than sure, that would be cool.

I almost bought something similar to this, without the Massa signature:

Puma also make them in the vivid yellow...pity they weren't in white like you say.

I have a few pairs of the Puma SF shoes and I like them. For driving they are perfect, but generally for walking around short distances its not too bad, for longer distances they dont have cushioning in the sole which starts to bother me (I have a screwed up ankle so that aggravates it more than most). All of my pairs are like that though.

I am not too crazy about the pair posted by the OP. The "outside" side is ok, but the "interior" side doesnt do much for me. I like the second pair posted quite a bit more from a design standpoint.

So, to answer the question - I dont think the OP pair is too bling for normal use - I have seen a LOT worse.

I think they look good. Obviously they're trying to replicate the current race team color. With a pair of wide leg jeans that'd hide the flashiness a bit.

Not my thing. Much prefer a pair of Piloti's anytime.

I remember those shiny, red Fila shoes. They were so ugly that it proved the statement that you could sell anything with the prancing pony on it.

I saw a pair of the shiny red in the Puma outlet.........I left empty handed...

They have somehow lost the plot, since the very nice (white/black or brown) Speed cats and Drift Cats....glad I stocked up on those..

Here's a Ferrari shoe on Clearance at Puma, only all black (Carb would like that :D) and very limited sizes.

Ferrari Drift Cats II for $60.00/ Original Price $100.00

    http://www.shop.puma.com/Ferrari-Drift-Cat-II-Shoes/pna884376264910,en,pd.html?cgid=40000

And the regular Repli Cats II, which look really good IMO:

    I like these alot:

That last one is cool, with the tri color in the heels!

Check the Marshalls stores..it'***** or miss, but the Drift Cats are cheap, if they have them!

I was in a Puma Outlet store the other day and most of them are truly horrible!

    SOMEBODY must buy them...!!!!

Lady Valeria pointed out even the ladies wifebeaters were incredibly thin materials.....

The clown shoe post had it right. I understand they're for driving, but suppose you have to get out of the car at some point...

Hey! I buy my shoes from the Puma outlet, very cheap shoes, I don't remember what I paid, but I think it was 50 bucks for 2 pairs.

    I have these:
