Meh - either [1] chuck 'em all into Tech toys, or [2] yet another subforum. Here's the problem of which Rob speaks; without including Owners forum, Moderators or numerous Sponsor forums, there's over 80 subforums already.
I would be more willing to put Video Games under Tech Toys, but will everyone in Racing and OT find and use it?
Just a thought -- a Video Game subforum might bring in new advertisers, especially if you ever get the forum-specific advertising working.
Subforum in techtoys, and if possible with Vbulletin a link/forward/etc as a racing forum that ends up in the same place
Put a search opition on Ferrari Ads. If you look for a car you have to look at all the pages instead of being able to look for the model you want.
I was hoping it was there somewhere and this was an easy way for me to ask. I knew someone would set me straight. Thanks.
I tried to access another car forum on my iphone recently and it directed me to this app at the itunes app store. Not affiliated, blahblahblah. http://www.tapatalk.com/ from their website: Tapatalk is a mobile forum app for iPhone / Android and soon to be on Blackberry and Nokia. Tapatalk supports vBulletin (3.x and 4.x) and phpBB forums and forum owner can activate this service for free. Tapatalk supports all the usual forum functions plus full screen image viewing, image upload, caching (less reload), private messaging, all these features are accessible in just a few simple taps. It would be nice to have the ability to upload photos on the go and a "lighter" option for viewing threads/posts instead of via the mobile Safari web browser.
Nice find - as we've searched high and low for something that would round all the bases, tapatalk might be just the Grand Slam we've been looking for. I see they've updated est. release date for Nokia and Blackberry; Tapatalk supports iPhone and Android. Nokia and BlackBerry version are in the making and will be available in February 2010.
Put 'previous thread/next thread' at the top of the page, so you don't have to scroll down to get past a thread you have no interest in. Didn't read all the posts, so sorry if it's a repeat.
hopefully this is not a repeat.... 1. when folks ask for help and it is in the archieves somewhere, why not just share the location with them directly, instead of snorting "do a search". if you don't know, don't bother to comment. just remember, you might need help someday. 2. when describing maintenance or repair operations involving parts, give the correct part # and where you purchased it, don't give some half-assed answer that contains neither. correct part numbers are especially important. things like: "well uh, i found it in the back of field and stream somewhere. i can't remember when or what it was called." we all appreciate solid information that can be used with confidence. none of us were born with this knowledge , so if you don't want to give out the correct info, why bother to share bogus info ? so many times we would rather share our arrogance. it doesn't cost any more to be thoughtful and provide what is asked and what is known to be true.
Those are more user issues then forum issues---You can't control responses from users---If you would of searched you would of known this! just kidding....
Another tedious repost: Five to ten minutes edit-time after a post is up, please. I'm not smart enough to do it right the first time.
Background Information: System: Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3 Browser: Mozilla Firefox Version 3.5.7 Things to fix on FerrariAds.com When organising cars for sale in order of price, it's quite irritating when cars are listed as either $0 or $1 simply to be at the top of the listing and then the true price is either listed in the advert or you are asked to "contact for price". Have the actual asking price required in the price box, or have an option for e.g. "offers in the rage of: $50-60k". Image Unavailable, Please Login Organised Adverts, Page 1 - lowest price first Having organised cars in order of price (lowest first), the aforementioned $0/$1 adverts completely fill the first page and when you click for the next page it reverts to the date order of the ads posted. For any order ([Ending First] [Lowest Price First] [Highest Price First]), you can only view the first page - clicking to cycle through the pages reverts back to the date order the ads were posted. Image Unavailable, Please Login Organised Adverts, Page 2 - had selected lowest price first, revered to posted order I thought perhaps it might be a Firefox-related issue, but I've found the same to be true of Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18702 Things to fix on FerrariChat.com When clicking on the title thread to open it (even ones viewed for the first time),http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/newreply.php?do=postreply&t=192746 the forum automatically tries to scroll down the page to a random post - the number of post is inconsistent, so it's not as if it's scrolling down to the first unread or the last post made. I often have to scroll back up to the top of the page to start from the first post. In the user control panel, sometimes I'll open up a few threads in tabs to read and reply simultaneously and then ask the control panel to refresh to drop the 'read' threads off the list. Unfortunately, this sometimes marks threads that have not been opened as read and they drop off the highlighted list while the subscriptions panel is reduced. Similarly, sometimes after viewing a thread the forum doesn't mark it as having been read and it remains highlighted in the control panel as newly updated. For example, the control panel shows a thread as recently updated for me when I am in fact the last poster (Political Party Affiliation): Image Unavailable, Please Login Control Panel - threads randomly highlighted as updated I don't think it's a browser or system issue as I don't encounter the same problems on a MINI forum I also frequent. Many thanks, Andrew.
i always search first. i found some wise-assed remark on the subject. it referred me to an out of print issue of field and stream and the topic didn't even relate to what i was asking about. yooz guys.... _______________________________________________ i always allow for the maximum torqueage permitted.... mona lisa vito
yes, Auraraptor highly recommended tapatalk just a couple weeks ago and I have added to the list. looks like the best solution I've seen for mobile use. I do want to wait a little for vB 4.x to stabilize. thank you.
