BUD... get the body kit for your 997!!! It would be perfect!!! all work and no play in jkt mate??? One of my favourite places, just came back! Will be back there 9th Feb....

Mate, am also thinking of buying a 993 here and stripping it to bits and making it into a pure track car... there is a C2 manual for sale currently....

white would be great with some dark book binder brown interior... i kinda think the white with red died out with the Honda S2000....

If you look in the background you will see the unfinished Monzer (postcount=1906 above). I have had a few delays due to work (I was in Korea for all of 2008) and the supercharged engine is still not completed.

    clive ,

need to tap your expertise on things to improve the mondial like a 3.2 engine/gearbox, fuse box/cover, supercharger, bigger brakes/wheels or is it best to keep things stock u think?

Clive - Damn nice car! Always like the Mondi despite what others may say. Understated looks, reliable with 4 seats and its a Ferrari! How many left on our shores? Understand there is only one Spider left?

Tim - Look up Superformance.co.uk. I get all the 308 and some 355 parts from them. Keep the car cosmetically stock like Clive's. But if you are using the old rims with TRX tyres, ditch those as TRXes are crappy. Superformance sells 16in rims which look like the originals, the 308 is using those now. Cheaper than replacing TRXes and much better using modern tyres.

Loads can be done. My red car in the pictures looks standard but it has a few changes.
We engineered a brand new modern fusebox here in Singapore that works a dream. The GRP parts I have made for my daily driver saves loads of weight and obviously that helps in the power-to-weight equation. It might be hard to disguise a supercharger from the LTA but a 3.2 with a Qv plenum would work. EFI is another option that will help a bit (I am putting EFI on the supercharged engine). Wheels: your car has the 16" Ferrari wheels IIRC so you could go to 17" wheels and it would still look OK. If you go for bigger wheels you can use bigger front brakes (don't really need bigger rears), I am looking to add carbon-ceramic brakes to the front of the Monzer. To change the looks, simply painting the black bits body colour makes quite a visual difference. You could use a set of my GRP bits to swap over.

Call me if you want to talk.

I take it that your fuse box would work on a 85' 308? Would be nice to chat with you one day. Coming for Sunday's FOCS drive to RWS?

The long wheelbase gives forgiving handling. I like it and the Monzer is based on it.

    I own four...

I don't believe so. The Mondial had a far more complex (read PITA) electrical system than the 308. I am installing a modern multiplex system into the Monzer.

Usually can't get the time at weekends...

I forgot that I added extra foam bolster and thigh support and my own pneumatic lumber adjustment system to the front seats. Loads of other stuff as well...
