Ok, I have the Tubi/Hyperflow cats set-up, which sounds great, but I am after more F1 type sound, and maybe considering the Capristo stage 3 with the Hyperflows I already have, is that the best possible sound or is there better for the 5.2 motronics? Sound clips or video links would help, thanks.

I have rebuilt stock headers with tubi test pipes and Mille Miglia muffler.

The sound is awesome, probably to loud for some people but I (and many others) really like it. Gets comments at all the Ferrari events I attend and has given my car a bit of a following.....

A friend of mine recorded us passing through a tunnel, the recording is only done with a cell phone so the sound is not spot on, but it gives the genral idea. The sound as you near the 8500rpm redline gets very F1 car, it screams!! :) It also demonstrates how on the low throttle the exhaust note is very civil\, when the bypass opens, all hell breaks loose :D

^^ That sounds pretty good. Do you have any videos of it at WOT and not in a tunnel?

I have high flow primary cats, no secondary cats and a Quicksilver muffler. I've only driven the car about 2 miles so I'm not sure if I like it or not but my initial thoughts are that it's a bit too loud at idle and a bit too quiet at WOT.

I would prefer a bigger jump when the bypass valve opens, such as relatively mild when it's closed and amazingly loud when it opens.

I may change my mind when I get more miles on it, or if I take the roof off. I have yet to do that and I've read many people comment there is a noticeable difference in sound.

James - I haven't got a video of it a WOT and not in a tunnel but will try to get one over the weekend and post it up, might even try for a drive by as well....

Take it from a guy who has a Tubi - Capristo Stage III is the best.

Would you agree that a Capristo + Test Pipes will get you even closer?

That would be great! Most of the time you see/hear either an in-car vid or fly by but not both of the same car.

This is the usual example. Keep in mind this is the Level 1 Cappy. That's what I have. It is perfect. They are all the same volume once the Y-pipe is open. Level 1 is louder than stock but my wife will still ride in the car. Level 2 is pretty loud. Most people say level 3 is almost unbearable.

Nice. I actually like "unbearable". :) Anyone knows how it is at idle? why not go all the way and get stage 3? Also, will it affect my o2 sensors with the check engine light issue? I had that problem finally resolved after the Hyperflows installed.

While I am no expert my 1999 355 has factory headers and cats with a Tubi muffler and I think it sounds awesome. This is my first F Car had it for a month and am loving it!!!

+1. Although I have a Tubi, I am going to be going to a Capristo Level One system and Hyperflows at my next 30K major. I have heard the Level Three systems in-person and, IMHO, they are just TOO loud. In major metropolitan areas I can almost guarantee you would be stopped all the time with a Level Three. Moreover, I don't want to be the cause of instigating any more liberals into promulgating Noise Legislation.

Does anyone have experience with Quicksilver Sport (level 2) and test pipes? Curious on type of sound and level of sound. I had the Quicksilver Sport with high flow cats on, but to me it did not quite sound right and have test pipes that I was going to install.
