I wil plan on taking the Lamborghini Diablo for all the hecklers on here! Maybe the 512TR too.

 

Are you going to use the Diablo in the soap box derby there?

 

We just added a 2000 GTS Viper Coupe to the fleet, black with silver stripes.

Hey doug, if I remember right your Ferrari pipes are all clogged up and looks like a bad large intestines so you may want to put this in your car to clear things up. Maybe your car won't sound like a fart going down the road.

I will most certainly be bring the Testarossa over. Started over last year, but the hot starting problem reared its ugly head. Just got back from the Rolex 24 Hour race in Daytona and didn't have a single failure to start. Think that problem is solved, at least for now. Now if I can get the radiator fans to kick on! Fortunately it was cold and minimal stop and go traffic after the problem developed.

 

Sounds like your TR has the dreaded fuse panel issues with the fan. As far as the starting goes, there's several threads on it for your year. Something to do with a relay I think.

 

Yeah, It may be the fuse panel. There is slight "browning" of one of the white connectors. Need to do some diagnosing before good weather strikes.

That may be the route I end up taking. Want to rule out the sensor on the radiator and the relays first.

 

An update. Seems it wasn't a fan problem after all. It was a bad radiator cap. It was puking coolant even before the fans should come on. A trip to NAPA and $5 later (thanks to the TR cross reference thread) and it was good as new. I will probably pick up an original cap if I am ever near a dealer. No overheating problems even in this 100 degree weather.

So, I will be at Keeneland! Looking forward to meeting some of you guys.

I will be there myself.I just sold my silver/blue Viper so I am carless! Its a shame that Jas moved to Nashville because he makes the show and with it being Ferrari and all...It will be a good time as usual though.

 

Does anyone know if Jas will be coming up from Nashville?
