i cant really understand it, why has benchmark price for base models of exotic makes like ferrari n lambo shot up so much? is it really justifiable - with duty /tax down n strong sing $,we're touching 1m. when ferrari 1st said they would come up with a smaller car, strong rumor was they wld do a dino like car ,entry level ,much cheaper than the subsisting entry level 430. when california came out, ferrari said it was not intended to be a cheaper car n it certainly wasnt ,compared to 430. now with 458, seems by default california is indeed the base dino of the range! cant imagine the prices of new v12 replacements for 599 n 612

Absolutely agree & a Cali is S$900K properly speced? But well, we have a long line of clients snapping up their new 458 as u can see here. So, one million Singapore dollar for a car is "peanuts" ;)

That's why I said, it makes Maserati GTS looks cheap with that gorgeous cabin & Ferrari engine. Hope they don't read this!

Tim, long before lambo had the Gallardos. Weren't those Diablos about 1-2million as well?

I am pretty happy driving 15yr olds that are just a fraction of the price when new.

S$100K for a pearl white! Oh wow.

I'll look out for the Jan issue. Hope the stands still have it. Don't think u ordered any American products, did u?

The adaptive headlight for 997TT was something like S$2.5K extra, wonder what's that for a Ferrari.

Ah yes. COE Ferraris are very good value & I always have a softspot for the Mondial as well. How about trying a better brake pad? Was told the yellow stuff? from Pagids are fantastic & doesn't chew rotors. I thought smaller wheels & tyres are lighter? But guess you shouldn't do more than 18" on it. There are some guys who sell 18" F40 type wheels that fit 308 which will fit the Mondial while others used 348 as well & look fine.

3.2 uses the same block right? So, just bore it when the time comes :)

I might try to keep the 456 stock concourse as it is & maybe one day, it'll achieve the cult status like the Daytona :D

Any idea what's the allocation for Sg this year? I don't even know my queue number and I've probably been 'bumped' further down the line (if rumours are to be believed) :(

yeah bud, was amazing to see the pearl white enzo cruising down omotosando in traffic surrounded by "normal" cars...

seems that the japs really dig white, saw two white cali's, white 430s, everything white....

I absolutely agree.... unfortunately the exotic car game has got to a point where it is way out of my league... I can never afford to spend 1mio on a car, and if I could unfortunately logic would always force me to spend it instead on a property or something else...

But thankfully they depreciate to a point that eventually I can inevitably afford... my two cars in my garage still only add up to 800k in total expenditure and that cant even buy a base model Ferrari nowadays....

    A relief indeed.

The question now is what is HSMs move?
HSM marketing their F458 at 918k versus IAs 920k.

As much as I agree with everyone here... the reality is that demand outstrips supply.

Harold you mentioned property... you are not going to get much for 1million these days. I went to look at an apartment today and the owner was asking 1750psf for a Newton area property. Everything has gone up in price... property, exotic cars, women, everything.
I was just telling one of my staff about the property trend... its going to be "higher lows and higher highs" going forward. Sad but true... Singapore is a very expensive place to live.

The California base is $780k... I would think a properly spec Cali would be around 820-840k?

    My guesstimate? 13-17 cars
Ask your niece when your car will be in... I think thats the best way to be certain.
The only car that I have heard to be going to one of the directors is the demo car. That I think is ok. Not sure about the rest though.

Mate, the 1mio makes a pretty good down payment.... :p

And I am an East Coast boy... recently bought an Arthur Rd apartment for about that.... small 2 bedroom but gives me somewhere for my quiet time and to store some of my toys... :D

Don't get me wrong.. I agree with you.
But no one really puts 1mio dollars down for a car rite? There is funding involved.

    Single plate... slightly lighter.
I would imagine changing to the 512M clutch would be better? OR are they the same as the TR?
