This is not the first time one of our Canadian guys has been written up in a magazine. This time it's for his efforts in engineering a new and improved diferential carrier for our Testarossa's, 512's etc. Congratulations goes out to Paul Newman for providing us a second chance at life when it comes to our dreaded differential carriers.

Our own (Canadian) Paul Newman supplied Norwood Performance one of his infamous differential carriers for a TR transmission rebuild highlighted in this months Forza #100 "Special Issue" magazine. A detailed write-up shows the steps taken in rebuilding the transmission / differential in a testarossa displaying pictures of worn syncros, gears and differential failure. I'm not sure any of this would have been possible without a solution to the carrier issue.

Once again thanks to Paul for stepping up to the plate and creating a solution to a problem ferrari has known about for quite some time but refused to address. Without the "Newman
Carrier" we would have alot less Testarossa's on the road today.

    Thanks Rob,

I just got the issue myself before going over to freinds place last night. I brought it with me and read it there - he owns a TR himself. Im pretty excited to see it in print! I have to thank James Patterson at Norwoods for offering me the option to have it included. He emailed me months ago about the article and asked if I was interested in seeing it in forza......hmmm......let me think about that......lol. It took a while to get it in print but being in issue 100 is pretty cool too.

NEWMAN! That's great exposure for your exceptional engineering feat, resulting in the part Ferrari would've made if they'd only known. Great job.

I'm predicting a 3rd magazine spread for the Boxer upgrade.

    Dear Ferraristi,

A very well deserved congratulations to Newman!

I really can't think of any TR issue that doesn't have a fix now.

....from the fuse box, high quality hoses, to the diff carrier.....the Testarossa is even more bullet proof than ever.

Come on Newman.....I'm sure we can fit you in a white linen suit with a black silk T shirt. :D

...so that igloo gets an expansion now "eh" ?

Well, I guess it is worth putting up with Newman's "quirky" personality, lol! It's OK having him around. My carrier is just a desk decoration at my office, my wife finally made me take it off the dining room table when I couldn't figure out how to put flowers in it.

It's too bad such a fine piece of work has to be hidden internally, congrats again Newman!
