I know of people know that swear by the "Throwback" Mountain Dew they have out now. I've heard it tastes alot better than the current. I think the slogan used on the can is something along the lines of "Made with the real sugar!". I am interested to see what it tastes like. I'll have to pick up a case(or however they are selling it) this weekend.

Yanno......if you want a cane sugar cola, all you have to do is look for the convenience store that imports the Mexican versions. Or Australian. Pretty much all the bottlers outside the States still use real sugar, instead of that corn junk.

All that said, Pepsi sucks in every variant.

Pepsi with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. I tasted the Mountain Dew last week and it tastes odd. I prefer new Dew but what the heck do I know? I stopped drinking soda 5 years ago.

I liked throwback Dew alot. I think it has a cleaner taste. I also liked throwback pepsi too.

I usually drink a Dew everyday after lunch. Last year I stopped cold turkey, but found myself buying peanut M&Ms instead of drinking the Dew. I guess my body needs some sugar in the afternoon.

The soda I normally drink is still made with sugar. But only at a couple of the bottlers, my local one is still using sugar. Also has real orange and lemon concentrates in it too.
I can't even choke a Mt. Dew down compared to these.

My girlfriend thinks the Throwback Pepsi is fantastic. Since I've always preferred the citrus soft drinks, I'm not the best judge for the throwback pepsi vs reg pepsi, but I don't think it's bad at all.

That said, I'll take Pepsi products over Coke crap any day!

But if I really have a choice, I'll take Sun Drop (regular or cherry) or Cheerwine over anything else, period.

My uncle LOVES the Throwback Dew. I've never been a fan so I didn't try it.

The odd thing about the Throwback Pepsi is it's been out for a good portion of last year with a different label and commercial. But I guess the advertising wasn't working or something and relabeled the can and did a new commercial.

They need to do this with Dr. Pepper. Ever since they changed to this 23-flavors stuff it doesn't taste the same as i remember it. Then again i have maybe 5 sodas a month. If that.

I don't understand the hate for Pepsi.

I've tried both the throwback Pepsi and Mountain Dew and it tastes like the current diet versions to me. Granted, I don't drink soda that much (only a few times a year) so I'm not an expert on any of this...just my low sample size based opinion. ;)

    Cool looking cans, though...

Kinda like McDonald's McNuggets campaign "now made with white meat!" when the rest had been doing that all along...

By the way, there are more calories in the "real sugar" Pepsi vs. "regular" Pepsi. Much more of a difference than I would have thought.

    No kidding!

    It's really sad and pathetic.

I'll never understand people who drink soda's and are concerned what the caloric total is. It's really freaking stupid, since it's a SODA! It's not good for you, so why think about it?

Never really cared for Mt Dey or Pepsi. Too Sweet. Pepsi also goes flat too fast. Classic Coke is my choice.
