    Interesting post mate.
It's true that only an owner is really going to get an opportunity to genuinely evaluate a car so until I buy one (or both) of the above, I do appreciate the feedback.

When you've done a few miles, let us know what you think about the F40 as well and how it delivers by way of sensory excitement in relation to the others in your collection. In fact if it scores highly, I suspect you may also end up buying an F50 as I consider this the most savage and visceral of all of Ferrari's hypercar efforts (that stressed member engine configuration is even more brutal IMO than the fury of the F40) and I rate it as one of the most exciting roadcars ever.

I really must spend more time driving an Enzo (and convince one of my best friends to acquire one). I honestly though the pinnacle of racecar-like responses, reaction and involvement had been reached with the Carrera GT but it appears I stand corrected!

If your friend becomes serious, and is in europe, let me know reg Enzo purchase.

I must also agree with Bill, although I have never owned a CGT, I have had one for a week, the sensoary overload that occours in an Enzo just does not exist in the CGT.

    Regards
    Mike

I have to agree wholeheartedly with you on this statement. Many of the members here are either F40 owners, have owned F40s, or have been in a F40. I'm not sure how many of those same people have experienced the fury of a F50. Albeit they are different cars but I honestly think the F50 is HIGHLY underated and underappreciated. Being the closest street car to a F1 car that Ferrari ever built makes it a truly brutal and awesome machine. It is as close to a race car as you can get in a street car bar none. I doubt there is another legal street car that comes close in such a raw form. I think it's the reason EVO magazine chose the F50 as it's favorite amongst the four supercars. This older video shows just how race inspired the F50 is!

Definitely no lack of F50 appreciation here. :)

As I was reading through the pages I was going to ask you to expand on why you kept the F50 over the F40 - it would have been my choice as well - but these stories are better when told by actual owners. Though I lack the first hand experience, it just seems like it should be the right decision to make. In addition to the items you mentioned, the F50 is considerably more rare in this country than the F40 will ever be, and I think future values will reflect that.

Big congrats on your newest addition. Should look very nice in the house next to that F50.

    Tipo,

Sorry I didn't get to meet you when I was stationed out there, but the cool thing about Fchat is even though I have a Ferrari, I get to live vicariously through you!!! I LOVE the Enzo and in black it looks absolutely vicious!

Take care of that thing and share it by giving guys like me rides whenever you can, it will come back around in spades (what goes around comes around).

    Very, very, cool car.
