Has anyone here dealt with Texas Import Sales before? They have an interesting car listed (that displays very clean) but are factually innacurate in their descriptions (on two different cars). Car looks clean, but less than accurate descriptions make me wonder... I had figured I was another two years of saving for my first F-car, but if their two tone grey GT4 is mech. sound at 32K, maybe I'm ahead of the game a bit...

So, you are in Ontario and looking at a Texas car. Be patient and find a closer car which you can inspect yourself. As the economy continues to worsen with no end in sight, more nice cars will become available.

Maybe when the NAFTA Superhighway is finished they will have a toll unlimited speed lane to make that a day trip from Nuevo Laredo to Winnepeg.

Yes, calm heads prevail. I realize there are several reputable specialists within an hour drive, I just get excited sometimes. As much as this SHOULD be a carefull, researched, level-headed process, it is an emotional one... Feel like I've been waiting (and reading and saving and researching) so long...

Let me preface this statement by saying I know NOTHING about this dealer, so they may be the best guys on the planet -BUT- I popped it up because you asked, and they have a Mondial for sale that they claim has "308" wheels that are actually 348 wheels (which are on backwards by the way).

It also is a 1981 car with 10k miles on it. Seems a bit strange to me...that means it would have been driven a total of 300 miles per year for 30 years....it better damn well be pristine if that is the case, but they claim the paint has the "normal chips" etc. for a car of this age...really? I wouldn't think you would get too many chips driving 300 miles a year, but maybe that is just me.

On a positive note, the car does look pretty nice, and they are not asking an astronomical price, so as BigTex says, ping the guys in Fchat in that part of the world and have them go look at it for you. That will help you immensely.

I can chip one up on one run down my .75 mile driveway!! LOL!

As to the wheels. 348 guys themselves mount them backwards if not paying attention at NTW.....

True statement LOL, but it just cracks me up that people are selling Ferrari's who don't know such things.

As stated, these guys might be the shizzle. I don't know them, so he needs to hook up with you or some of our Texas Brethren to take a look-see down your way!

true, but if someone is using a car for 300 miles a year, it seems safe to assume they aren't doing those on gravel driveways, in the rain or snow, etc.

but anyways, that supposed 10K mile mondial isn't.

This car has been listed on Ebay for MONTHS. Anyone know what is up with it? I searched here on the sn#, 15438, but got no hits.

They have another GT4 that has also been listed for months and the mileage doesn't agree with what was reported here as of March 2008.

You're welcome :) Lemme know if you'd like me to REALLY check into them for you. I've not seen the one at Bobileff but, again, have sat in the one at Cavallo. I know I can test-drive that one any time, and probably can work my way to doing so at Bobilieff's, as well ;-)

I have been to their place and have personally seen a 308 GT4 they have up for sale. I'll be happy to go back & find out anything you need about the car. It looked good when I saw it about a month or so ago.
