430 cockpit size

You sure you got in a 360? You must not have adjusted the seat correctly, as I went from two c6 'vettes to my 360 and at 6'7", 250 lbs, I have a LOT more leg room in the 360. The 430 is pretty much the same as a 360; sports seats offering even more leg room than the power seats. My 360 has power Daytona’s BTW.

May I suggest you visit your local Ferrari dealer and ask them ever so nicely if you can sit behind the wheel of one to see if you fit?

I don't have a 430, but have been shopping. I was also concerned about the fit into the car. Not the easiest to jump in and out of for me, but not much of an issue.

The first time I sat in one, I needed to take the seat nearly all the way back for legs, with only a little recline till seat back was touching the paint behind it. Still not 100% comfortable but tolerable for myself.

You definitely better not buy before you drive!!!

FYI, it was a spider that I was commenting on.

 

A golf bag will fit behind the seats in a 360 as well. Basically they have the same amount of room and they are VERY roomy for a sports car.

I am 6'6" & 220 pounds, I don't have any problems in the 360. I would like a little more head room in a Spider but the Modena is good to go. I tend to move the seat forward a little and recline to get a little extra headroom; kind of a straight armed Italian driving position.

No insult intended guys but don't expect it to fit like an SUV. Any decent sports car is going to be a tight fit and the Z06 is no exception. How do you fit in a Porsche?

 

OK, I got ya now. yep, I have to set the seat in the 360 almost to the back end of its run, move it forward an inch, then recline the seat into the rear bulkhead to fit like I want. I agree that I would like to recline the seat a bit further, but can't. My back isn't an issues....yet (*knock on wood*) I do know the coupes have more room than the spiders, which I have. If you're really interested in a 430, for you, I would try out a coupe with the manual sports seats. They sit about an inch lower, which would give some more room for adjustment for the rake.

 

If you have Carbon Racing Seats you can simply drill the seat slider rail and mount the seat about anoher 2.5 iches further back, if you look at the back of the seat base, when it is set furthest back, you'll see there is room before the rear aluminium bulkhead

I think I have more room in a 360 than a 430. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's my opinion.

 

I have both and its exactly the same from what I understand

 

I'm 6'2" 175lb and have plenty of leg and head room.

You could probably get the drivers seat modified to accomodate your back issues. Sorry to hear about that by the way. Good luck..

 

Good suggestion. I have been looking at new seats for my Spider. I have manual seats now but want to sit a little lower (head room) and it should buy me some additional room to recline.
