Congrats Neil! It looks awesome! Now, just get a muffler bypass like the one Andrew put on his Porsche. :) They sound incredible.

What kind of ticket were you thinking of? A speeding ticket, or a public disturbance ticket? :D These things are loud:

Oh, I forgot. This is the USA, the land of the free.

I was in Euro mode where everything is VERBOTEN and KFZ and TUV make you put your car back into original condition. And the police write tickets for any modifications.

    I love the US!

    I agree! Get them. :D

Do they strictly enforce that? Are you not allowed put aftermarket rims on a car?

    They enforce every law.

Therein lies the main difference. We got plenty of laws here, but only so many are actually enforced.

After market rims might be ok if they meet the test standards set by the government. On the face of it, that sounds reasonable, but the reality is that only so many changes in so few areas are tolerated.

    Or to put it differently:

The F40 was never street legal in Switzerland because it was too loud and because the rear wing was considered dangerous. And we're not even talking after market here.

Not sure this qualifies as a spotting, but it sure was a first for me:

Porsche Panamera today in the German quarter.

This thing makes a 612 look nimble. Unghastly.

    Andreas,

By 'German Quarter' are you referring to the 'Kukuy Quarter?' Are you in Russia again???

No. I meant the German area on Lincoln where Meier's Delicatessen used to be.

My wife making a $100 right turn. She tried to tell me "I came to a complete stop, and right on red is allowed." You can actually log-in and see video. She didn't even slow down.....

It's the biggest revenue producing scam going; you can thank your local governments!

George Orwell was correct, although he was 26 years too early (or thereabouts) in his predictions!

I saw my SECOND Panamera tonight around 11pm. This one was silver. I gotta say, it's growing on me...

When I saw "mine" I didn't even bother to take a picture. It is so unbelievably ugly.

It reminds me of a stretch limo where the originals car front and rear are bolted together with a container in between.

What the hell were they thinking?

I don't think it looks nearly as bad as everyone says it does. In fact, it's really growing on me. I had the complete opposite view when it first came out. You have to take this car for what it is. A sensible 4 door "family" Porsche. But hey, we can disagree on some cars. *cough* 612 *cough* :D
