The ad doesn't say anything about the car being Griffined.

Funny that. Also funny how they don't seem to advertise it in their dedicated F-Chat Sponsor Forum either...

Two years ago in europe enzo cost more than 1 milion €, now you can buy enzo for 760k €. I think that economic crisis make this,
How it is in USA? There also enzo prices go down?

Yes, values on Fcars are down about 20 -40%, depending on model...and there are plenty of them!

Looks like Carbon has found the reason for this one's "diminished value"....

Didn't we just see the car for sale recently for even less than that on eBay (900k)?

Most cars in the US have taken a substantial hit. But pristine red Enzos and black Enzos, for the most part, seem to be just fine. And I've only seen an increase in GTO prices in the last 18 months.

slightly off topic but what is the asking rate (or range) for a nice 288 GTO right now?

Tex is on the nose - with at least one. I know of one for sale right now at $650K - less than 5K miles, never federalized, etc. Then there was the GTO for sale at Professional Auto Exchange - I believe that one was over $600K as well.

And in the last four months (approximately), I've seen a high number of black Enzos change hands, or at least come up for sale. Almost all of them maintained a premium - the kind of premium we saw five years ago. Which makes me wonder... How soon before the public does Ferrari's elite clientele find out about an upcoming release via a phone call from a dealer or FNA or SpA, asking them if they want to put a deposit down on the 'Enzo replacement' or 'F60' or whatever the hell they're going to call it.

The "Griffin" car is worth no more than $700k to $800k IMO. How can a 10k mile crashed Enzo still be worth a mill when a 10k mile no story Enzo is probably $1.1 to $1.2? It needs to be exported to a country that doesn't know the story behind this car. It's been passed around from dealer to dealer for the past year (at least three dealers have advertised it) and no one seems to understand that it's not a million dollar car (or anywhere near it).

As for Enzo prices? They seem to have gone up. I recall three years ago where two different cars were brought to my attention (both around/under 3k miles) and the prices were in the $1.1 ballpark. Seems like the prices for cars with those miles are closer to $1.3 these days. There also seems to be none for sale right now with the exception of a yellow and a black one (through Andy Cohen). Yellow 3k mile is $1.35 and black 3k mile is $1.6 asking.

Not to mention this car has been run hard at Texas Motorsports Ranch outside of Houston. I am all for using these cars as they were meant but that also has to be factored into the pricing.

Yes. It's not a bad deal if you want to drive an Enzo for a while and then maybe sell it for a small profit.

If you sell it at a loss, just consider that the cost to rent it.

You could probably run a decent business renting this car out for a few thousand a week.

This car is hellspawn upon the earth waiting to destroy some hapless moron's life and shake his passion for cars to pieces.

This isn't a "driver" at $700k. Because the repair was carried out by what amounts to "some guy in Texas", I could never trust it to drive it in any enjoyable way. So you send it off to Maranello, at your cost, to have it disassembled and gone over microscopically, at your cost. God forbid Maranello calls you back with even a short list of things that need to be addressed, at your cost. How many things need to be wrong with that carbon fiber tub, or the subframe mounts, or anything else, for you to suddenly be approaching "no story" money spent on The Griffinized Enzo?

Good point, I forgot about the repair in Texas; no disrespect to our friends there.
