It seems to be, that customer were able to order two small frog lights for the front only as an option.
Has anybody any information about this or even better pictures of a pair fitted by the factory.

    Regards Matthias

    Greetings Matthias,
Here is a picture (thanks to f-chat member vvassallo) of a GTS with fog lights. On 09-24-2008, f-chat member sarkis kassardjian wrote:

"I am the owner of the chairs & flares Dino pictured at Palos Verdes concours weekend, its 1972 #4676 which happens to be the first documented chairs & flares car out of the factory according to the registery, and its one of the two with euro specifications. As you can see it has the factory fog lights, covered headlights and it is equiped with a black Momo steering wheel. My assumption is, those bumpers were probably replaced to US specs when the car was imported, in compliance with US regulations. Everything else on the car is Euro specs. The car has been restored in 2003, and I drive it once a week around the hills of Palos Verdes to give it a healthy dose of exercise. Its in a great shape and its a blast to drive. It shares my garage with a 1962 XKE conv. Jag and 1998 C2S 993 Porsche. Those three cars were my dream cars growing up, each one has its own personality and the signatures of their creators. I think they are the best of their kind and they give back lots of memories of my youthful years when I drive them, that's priceless."

Sarkis seems to still be on board, so you may wish to contact him for more details/pictures.

The option lights in Sarkis Dino seem to be low enough to be used as an effective frog light, no worries. If your average frog would enjoy being in the spotlight just before getting run over is a different story though :)

What does the fog light switch look like and where is it on the dash?

Udo, your picture shows an additional indicator light, but not a fog light.

    Anybody, any more pictures?

    All:
In the picture of sarkis' Dino, the fog lamps appear to be installed in the scoops for the brakes. What do you all think? In the "operating, maintenance and service handbook" and the "REPAIR AND WORKSHOP MANUAL," the wiring diagrams list the lights as #3 and the switch as #22. However, I don't see any pictures, or indication of locations, of those items.
Have patience; someone will eventually have pictures for us.

    Udo:
How about the apparent location of the lights in the picture you have?

    Sarkis:
Are you out there? You likely can shed light on this thread! Help.

    'watching for clarification,
    Coop

I saved this from a link posted in this forum awhile back. It is a 206 with a cut top. Someone said 1 of 7 that were cut like a GTS.

Glad to know that at least one appreciates my sense of humor. Most are likely too young to appreciate the gist of yellow headlights and a frog, although we could throw in a Gin and tonic with a slice of lime to round off the reference.

The wiring diagram in the Chassis Manual abstract shows wiring for optional frog lights.

I've often thought that the front of the 206/246 has a certain frog-like quality. So, frog lights it is! Fred

    Hello fellow chatters

Sorry I did not reply sooner, I have been on a trip. Yes my Dino has foglights which are fitted under the front bumbers in the side holes of the bottom cover. They fit perfect so that's why I think it's stock. As for the switch, it is like a switch of a table light tucked behind the lower part of the dash to the right of the ignition key. I can reach and pull it down when I need to use them and they work quite well in the fog where I live.

    Hello Sarkis,

do you think your fog lights have been fitted originally by the factory?
If yes, can you post pictures of the lights and the switch please.
