    this is the one with 14xxx miles (askinmg 139k)

    Sales Manager and Service guy both said zero paintwork.


    The other one only has 4xxx miles

    i have driven the car and it is great...solid car,gently driven according to everyone at fone,
    which is good enough for me.

    how much had the dash faded, I noticed a slight fading in June when I was out there...

    So what's the downside to pulling the dash and having an interior shop recover it with the identical fabric. To me, this seems like it shouldn't be a big deal as the dash is going to fade no matter what you do.

    Is it better keeping it original even though it looks like ****?

    As for paint work..... I have yet to see an Fcar that hasn't had paint work. So how big of a deal is paint work if it hasn't been wrecked? If paint work is no big deal then why would interior work be a big deal?

    I agree Jason,

    however paintwork can be a broad spectrum.....meaning paintwork on the fron clip to repair rock chips etc etc or paintwork from a bad wreck etc etc. if it were simply cosmetic I could care less....... :)

    btw,i just got back from cavallino and all but 1 of the cs s i saw [and there was a bunch] had faded dashes...
    maybe it's a badge of honor
