I think the main point would be that the car park space would be counted as part of yr build in/ GFA also (if you were to do car lift in yr house.). There is a 40% maximun coverage for detached houses. So you lose out on living space. But if your car park space is outside, it can be part of yr setback requirement. For example, front setback is 7m from boundary. For sure you would need BCA and URA and FSB approval. FSB is fire safety board.
Im new here, and i've been reading through this thread with a lot of interest, really cool stuff u guys talk about. Too bad I can't see many prancing horses in JB, sigh would be an epic experience to finally get to sit in one, haha. I'm only 20, got a loooong way to go before I can afford one, LOL. I really really really hope my SIA cadet pilot application gets accepted this year, 20 years down the road and I'd probably aim for a ferrari. =D
Welcome to Fchat. There are a couple of SIA pilots into these cars but my advice is to build your assets/cash flows right from the start rather than depend on earned income and be held hostage by your company. Once done, then enjoy the cars!
Welcome Vinesh, u'll need a lot of time to read through this thread I think there are some private owned Ferraris in JB but I've never seen one so far other than those from the palace. You can feast yourself to half a dozen by spending some time in Orchard rd though SQ pilot was one of the job I actually wanted too! Nah, u wouldn't need 20yrs if u do get into SIA if u don't mind buying older ones. Yes, spoken as the man himself
Thanks for the tips! Yes, I'm giving up part of the build-in for it. It's either a full rebuild to something I fancy with the car as part of the objects d'art or one of those workshop style & covered garage. I believe that there's at least one small house that did it here. Either way, I'm drawing a double volume room for it. Those 4-post lifts are actually quite cheap.
I had the privilege of testing the Ferrari 599HGTE today. WOW! Will write something on it...need to gather my thoughts.
I did the same route as Sunday California drive AYE Tuas, Jurong Pier Road, Jalan Buroh, West Coast Highway...but instead of going on the Keppel expressway, I turned into South Bouna Vista Road "99" turns going uphill. It was enough to tell me about the car.
Great. Understand that existing owners can have the package retrofitted? Will any of you guys consider the Wisemann? http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_photos.php?CarCode=10813&CUR=1#P
Great stuff, i know someone wanted it so bad that he air freighted the darn thing in himself sometime back... but I think the one to look for will be the GTO...
I'm sure it is a great reliable car, being BMW internally but looks don't exactly excite me. It probably would appeal to a guy who has owned almost everything there is to own and just wants something different and rare. The front is ok but the rear is a bit on the short side. Is the RHD in town? Asking $300+?
Don't think it will cost that little with it being such a niche product..but then again if it's overpriced nobody would want to buy it as only those in the know would appreciate it.
