    Seems he's still a jerk,

what we should do is all find his advertisements on Carsales and have everybody send enquiries about every single car of his.

costs the dealer something like $40 for each enquiry, could you imagine, you get 50 people enquiring about 10 cars each. a that would result in a nice $20k invoice for him :D

Yeah but you put the effort in posting. I'm sure there are half a dozen lurkers that have seen the car and haven't bothered to say anything

It's only worth $150k if you sell it at a dealer

When I spoke to Shannons some time ago they said they did agreed values. I think PP's recent experience shows that if you have spent a bit of money restoring or improving a car its worth considering agreed value over market value. Its totally wrong when you have happen what happened to PP and you end up out of pocket. What I am learning here is that I should shop around when my car gets back.

Oh, and the insurance for my HSV just came in, last year it was $1400, this year just over $1000. :D That's market value and I'm happy with what market value is for the car.

Thanks, I've put in a bit of info about myself now. It's a 328 in Subiaco W.A, been for sale a while now on carsales and a few other websites. Its got 80,000kms for 85k, seems a steal? , considering others are well above 100k. I'm going over to W.A tomorrow for work, mite pop in if time permits and have a look. Although I'm mechanically minded, its not on cars, esp Ferrari's. So ive got a lot of reading up to do, and I only stumbled across this website yesterday, its just what i needed. Cheers

Thanks Aircon, Its a classic shape and a good entry level Ferrari, I just hope the wife likes it as much as I do.! With 4 little rug rats to look after as well, she may wrongly think that the money would be better off spent on their education or food etc etc.

After my post on the CTS 308qv GTS this morning I rang Shannons myself ...I upped the agreed value on my 308QV by $20,000 and it only cost me an extra $28.00 on my policy.... no argument or objection from them and all done easily and quickly!

Funnily enough Shannons have never asked to see the car.....

I have three other cars with them and have used them for years, never had any problems..

I see the consensus of opinion here is that the CTS are smoking the " Wacky tobaccy "with their ask on their 308QV gts,but given PPs recent fight with an auto insurer I think we should all review our car policies annually especially as some of our cars are aged and pretty much irreplacable now.....

P.S.....I heard from a good source that CTS have previously sold that car also.....

    Cheers

    Pete

Have you looked at the black 328 GTS Thats up for sale in S.A. ? I'm pretty sure the W.A. 328's been for sale on and off for about a year now I think? It was around when I brought my 308 QV in W.A. also, last July.

    Cheers

    Thanks Pap and Peter Z,
Yes, I know about the Black 328 for sale in S.A , But, I would prefer the classic, iconic red. The W.A 328 states that its a Marrendello red? Not Rossa Corsa. I'll have to research more.
Looks like a great site to chew the fat with fellow enthusiasts, thanks for making me feel welcomed.

There is no such colour, it must be a mistake. It would be Rosso Corsa for sure, like 99% of Australian 328's. Best colour for 328's is Blue Chiarro; but I might be biased as I had one back in the early 90's.

    Your welcome mate

On the back engine cover(inside)there should be a sticker with the PPG (manufacturers)paint code......it will have three numbersand then/C....EG 505/C....It will also be shown on the first owners details page in the owners manual.....get me that and I can tell you what the colour is........if my memory serves me correctly I did see this car in Perth last year and it definetly aint Rosso Corso(Resale Red).....LOL

    Cheers

    Thanks for that info 360C.
Blue is nice, but everyone knows that red goes faster.

    Thanks Pete,
Thats exactly what i'm weary about.... Why was it resprayed?, and is it hiding a myriad of problems, If it was pranged, was it repaired properly? Thanks for your knowledge
    Cheers

Dave, its called resale red for a reason mate, we all fall into the trap of wanting to buy a red Ferrari with tan leather. ;) When you start to spend time around the cars you tend to find they actually look better in other colours. Just my opinion.

    Couldnt agree more Brett,

in fact theres 2 colours of car i really dislike, thats red & blue, however i would consider a red Ferrari.

Black, White, Yellow, Orange, Silver, Purple, Green, Pink, are all colours i'd prefer over red or blue :D
