Jon, I reckon it shouldn't be bad at all since engine stays in for belt change. Never heard bad things about the 360, top should be ok if exercised regularly and hyd fluid topped up. That's what I do for the 355 and it has not failed me (Touching lots of wood here). Much more leak proof than the GTS. Drivable in a monsoon with perhaps 1 drop every 10mins from the rubber seals near the wing mirrors. I can live with that!

How I see it is that for the older cars, maintence may be costly BUT I don't suffer the horrible depreciation rates of the new ones. And the diff in insurance cost alone can help pay for my running costs. Plus there is our ever trusty Ben who takes good care of the cars.

no major issues for the 9 months i owned mine. spider i feel is probably the best looking iteration of the 360 range , with the top off. performance wise a bit weak i feel, esp low end. for some reason the car i had kept getting the traction control activated when i tried to do a spirited take-off.heavy feet maybe. can be improved with sport cats probably n sports exhaust-kresseig mmmmm. mine was 04 .02 model f1 shift i think may be a bit jerky but i heard can upgrade, maybe even to cs f1 gearshift ecu

Yeap but I'd prefer a manual unit for drive & keeping. Much less problems going wrong on a manual transmission & all the sensors around the car on the F1 that knock u into neutral gear.

Actually that car belongs to one of our friend here.

Yes, agree with you on several points. Depre will be quite cushioned was thinking if I had bought that rosso fiorano 360m 4yrs ago, I might just lose S$50K on paper by now. Am thinking of all the mods for a 360 will be quite affordable now but not sure if I need another cabriolet. It is a good daily though.

What do u guys think about the shape of F360. Will it be a future classic? The glass back is quite impressive & started a trend. The stock brakes are a weak point but can be upgraded for decent price now & I have a pair of challenge seats that might fit too.

O! Didn't know we can fit stradale F1 software? Do u know if there's any hardware upgrade between a regular 360 & CS?

Yes, 360 if not 355 has the nicest high pitched F1 sounds & I know the owner had a stage 3 Tubi on this.

I remembered when I 1st saw the spider @ a carshow here many years ago, they operated the soft top in front of a crowd & we were like "Wowww"

Hope it doesn't leak or jam though.

No wonder I didn't get invited!

Depends on age but what Lung said. It's between S$150-200K+ now excluding the body. Heard the body is rather cheap in several countries now.

My friend owns some cars in there. www.LegendaryAstons.com

He's selling 7 of the 8 he has now but the exciting information he just shared is that he's purchased a '49 DB2 prototype with a 6 cylinder V10, 2.0 that was built for David Brown. He has registered it for MM this year which comes in early May.

His co-driver will be his mechanic. Car has only done 4000 miles in the last 20yrs so to have it race-ready again to do 1000miles in a few days will be stressing it. It did race in 1950.

Apparently, only pedigree cars with history in participating the MM is eligible. Not any makes from the same era can join. So, if u have a Porsche 356 that did not join the MM before, it might not be eligible.

    Fee is Eu6200.

many threads in360/430 section on diff betwn 360 n cs but general consensus seems to b that its cheaper just to buy the cs stock than to try n retrofit a 360 into a cs. i think 360 wont be a true classic but like 328 now, it will probably be one of the favourite affordables.
what challenge seats do u hv-348?
strange how quickly technology advances. the 360 top now is literally old hat.

Yes, saw a white CS in the 360thread & it's gorgeous!

Will u ever sell the stradale? My dealer in KL who went through so many cars including Scuderia etc still loves the CS. Saying how sublime it is on the track etc. & they'll probably not make another car @ this feather weight.

I just wonder how many 360s will be COEd & if it makes any sense @ all. 3.6L maxed out on road tax is still quite manageable. 308/328s are rather easy in the pocket for maintenance but of course offers little performance & comfort compared to modern cars.

Think my seats were from Lung? It fitted my Testa, think it fits 348/55 & most likely 360 as they seem to be the same style.

i'd like to say i'll never sell the cs but ive learnt never to say never. still love the overall drive . i think a few 360s hv already renewed coe at last year's lows. seems quite doable for the amount of car you get. gallardos probably cant. their high omvs will make the sacrifice on renewal too much to lose i think.

The OMV on my ex Gallardo was S$262000. Some are as low as S$220K. I think it will be nice to pick up pre-05 cars after 2011, if any left.

I'd still like to have a manual car.

Btw, how's the export value of the Stradale now?

Keensridge. His warehouse is @ Sungei Besi? area. Opp the airfield & near the Volvo dealer.

What cars are you looking for? U can also contact another guy, Shawn Wong who has connections to all these exotics & their owners so he can find cars for you.

Zaibi motors also do some fancy stuff as well.

Go for the 360 Spider. Still a pretty car after all this time. Just did a drive today with one on NS, a manual Spider. Believe there are only 3-4 stick shifts (hard and soft tops) left in S'pore.

Car had a problem with the undertray at 270 and gave the owner a hell of a fright when it started flapping about. Had to stop at Kluang's beef noodle joint to borrow masking tape + use the tyre shop's inspection bay to hold it together just to get back. Worked!

    Woah! Never invite me :)

U guys are some speed devils, I'm pretty contented with 200 odd these days.

Yes, think about 3 left & i've never seen a manual spider. Sounds like some screws came off the undertray, could be dangerous due to aerodynamics but glad everything went well. I have a roll of duct-tape in my car which I just removed, looks like I better put it back for NS trips!

It was another all SQ pilots "need for speed" session. 996TT and a Gallardo were also there. 360 owner also has a R34 but didn't want to embarrass us! Will call you next time round for these small sessions.

The mounting points for the front to mid undertray broke and the mid section was scooping the airflow which we had to tape up. All the more he swears by his R34 rather than the Italian horse. 270 was a short burst with him racing the G, mostly cruising at 220, traffic permitting.

Hello, don't u guys do 500knots cruising up there :)

Sounds fun! U didn't take yours? Top down in the 360? Not many R34s left now. Hmm, reminds me to check my old undertray too!
