Horseless Carriage did a great job for me. A few dollars more, however, they took great care of the car and experienced no issues.

I don't have any specific suggestions on a shipper. Just be careful! I relied on the dealer from whom I bought the car to recommend a transporter. It was shipped from St. Louis to Tucson, and I was fortunate that it was the last car on and the first car off. Turned out they didn't know how to work the handbrake, and had driven it with the brake locked. Fortunately, they didn't do any damage.

Congratulations Chip! If you don't already know about the local club (Triangle Italian Motoring Enthusiasts, TIME), check it out online and bring your car to one of the meetings at Briar Creek. We'll all look forward to meeting you.

    Glenn -

I am familiar with TIME and have been to a number of your gatherings at Brier Creek. I was probably the one lusting after your 308 last time you were there!

So I hope to wrap things up in the next day or so and get the car down here ASAP. I will reach out on the NC/SC post when the coast is clear. I'm looking forward to a springtime run up to Grove Park in Asheville!

No worries on the transport. I'm living in the Raleigh area, but we have friends in Charlotte and family in Asheville, so I suspect we can find some good excuses to head your way. Firsrt I have to get the baby down here!

We'll have to hook-up before you head east. I've got family in Asheville too and have been wanting to drive it up there for a Parkway run. Might be others from TIME or CAFE to join us? Post pictures when available.

Our same invitation goes to you Keith. Are you by chance finding a 328 you mentioned? Funny, but I don't recall seeing any 328's at any of the TIME meets, but maybe Greg will see this post and know. Look forward to seeing you guys in the Spring.
