Pretty simple, if it's a Flash SWF or FLV movie. I didn't check but it's safe to assume.

    1. Use Internet Explorer (easiest for this - crappy browser but easy)
    2. Clear the Cache - important!
    3. Load that site and let the movie play out
    4. Go back to Cache and click "view cache files"
    5. Look for the biggest file there - probably a few MB or more (will have a cryptic name)
    6. Copy that file out to a folder
    7. Rename "Ferrari Movie" with the same extension of the cryptic file name
    8. Download "Riva Player" - use Google - it's a free FLV/SWF movie player
    9. Double click on "ferrari movie" where you saved it - now you can watch it.

You can then convert using any online conversion utility to a more friendly
video format (AVI is good for virtually ALL video editors and OSes)

    Thanks for the info.

I tried it, but it seems to just stream the video and doesn't leave any big files in my temporary internet files location.

I also tried a few video downloader sites, but it doesn't seem to work with ferrari.com

Any other ideas you can think of?

Sounds like there's not much you can do. They are streaming the video byte by
    byte, not as whole file.

All I can think of at this point is point a video camera at your monitor and hope
    for the best.

    Sorry it didn't work out.

FWIW - You can easily save directly from video.google * com and play said videos without fanfare - not YouTube. So, if the video in question somehow makes it to video.google . . .

Most big sites these days provide anti-leeching methods so the cache trick is pretty useless.

There are addons with Firefox that can help get around some of the sites but not always. You can also use packet sniffers to find the hidden video links on some sites.

In the case of ferrari.com the best bet is to use http://camstudio.org/ it's free capturing software. It will capture anything you do, so if you move the mouse in the region it will be there  it will also use your soundcard so if u have windows set to make clicking sounds when u click on stuff it will be picked up.

If you decide to do full screen you will need some good hardware specs.

There are other apps like it but you have to pay, like FRAPS.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I tried a few firefox add-ons to download videos, but it doesn't seem to work with ferrari.com. It will pull videos from youtube and other major video sites just fine.

I'll take a look at camstudio.org, but am afraid it will not work as the video link on ferrari.com is just so jerky for me. It pauses every 5 seconds or so . . . even though I'm trying to watch it at my company that has a huge internet bandwidth.

What I am curious about is this. From the USA, when viewing the below link, does the video appear to be jerky or choppy for everyone else? Perhaps if you are near Italy, the video quality may be better?
