I've been a huge fan of the ultimate TV series from the 80's, anyone here want to share info/pics/memorabilia? The show is what really made me fall in love with Ferrari, particularly the Testarossa. I've owned 2 but they were red :(
Chime in if you were a fan and still are.

I admit it, I have the first couple seasons on DVD. Some of the episodes have held their own over the years and are still very good, but it went downhill pretty fast.

Still, I've always liked white TRs and 512 TRs. Flamboyant, but that's what it's all about anyway.

I am a fan too although some people say the language and acting are trite. But the modern shows (CSI, Law and Order, etc) are nothing more than updated copies of Miami Vice.

My favorite is of course the one (season 3) where they unveil the TR and as I recall Sonny says:
    new paint
    new rubber
340 HP (it was an 84)
    180 mph
(he should have said "new belts, would have been more impressive to us)

and Tubbs says: absolutely essential for any serious law enforcement (or somethnig to that effect)

I am a big fan of the show. I'll even own up to owning the complete box set. I agree with Jon though, the first and second seasons were the best.

Season 3 is the disc set to get if you want to see the white TR.

A young Wesley Snipes is in one of the first episodes.

Each episode has several short scenes of the TR in it.

...There is also a VERY young and skinny Chris Rock in the first/second season. I think he played an informant.
Do they still show re-runs on Spike?

No disrespect intended, since I love the TR, but I preferred Sonny driving a Daytona!

Sure, the Daytona played a great role, but Ferrari made the right decision sending them 2 black TR's, what a great PR move on their part. It sold me for sure, probably millions of others.

No doubt! Also the TR fits the '80s better than the Daytona.

Lets not forget that Sonny also drove a 328 and a 308 in one of the episodes with Sheena Easton. :)

MV is one of the greatest shows of all time. I have the DVD's and its also on Centric channel. I tivo it, although its not in original order. Still great to watch. I'm amazed those two cars didn't suffer from Diff failures.... Crockett does quite a few burnouts.

Wow, thanks for the pics, you made my day. Although I thought the interior was tan in the show. Regardless, any white flying mirror TR gets my attention. Bravo.
I totally agree that show was iconic, and it pioneered so many cop shows since then. How can you not love the music, the clothes, cars, and the beautiful people in a beautiful setting ;)
I have started collecting some MV memorabila (besides the complete series on DVD!), will post pics later this week.

    Shamille, where are you!!

    Freeze!! MIAMI VICE!!

It does have tan interior. That car has black sheepskin seat covers. However, it did have a black dash rather than the tan dash.

I found a company that is re-making the Bren Ten...thats the hand gun Crockett used in the show. I hope to buy one once they release the price. I have also found the company that made his shoulder holster. If i buy the gun naturally I'll have to buy the holster.

As some of you may know the white MV TR's were actually black when delivered. Producers had the cars painted white cause the white showed up better during night time filming.

    Major Fan...

Jan Hammers " Crocketts Theme " still sends chills down my back , as well as "In The Air Tonight", Phill collins..

Immortal period in time for sure!

The art in the movie making was surreal..
Remember when the Irish actor, Liam neeson fell off the parking lot roof and was sprawled out on top of the painted on street STOP sign,

When the camera panned down it was a moment!.

So So Many of those moments in that series..

Or the rapist in the countach......

The show was a continuation of scarface for those of us who needed More on a daily basis!
