I'm not a Connecticut voter, but I do follow Peter Schiff and since he's running for Senate in your state I was wondering how local opinion is toward him? Anyone care?

Absolutely! It's time to run the corrupt progressives out of Chicago, D.C. and replace them all with people who believe in our Constitution, our system of free enterprise capitalism and limited government that works FOR the people. Get out and vote in 2010 and let's take our country back before it's too late.

He needs to do a better job getting the word out. Most folks don't know anything about him or that he is even running.

On the other hand, http://www.linda2010.com/ is spending big bucks putting her name out there. I mean if Jesse and Ahnold can get elected.....

    Will be interesting.

November is a ways off and I must say I haven't been paying very much attention to the race. To some degree it enough to know that Dodd won't be back and I'm not sure Blumenthal can't get past his own haircut. I've seen a few McMahon ads and like what I'm hearing but I have no idea if thats just retoric. I'm not at all aware of Schiff. Looks like it time to start getting involved. Thanks for shaking the tree

it's really a shame that more people don't care about this, it's really an example of politics as a whole and why the guy with the most friendly sound bite always wins.

Where did you read "no one cares about this"? A bit of an early conclusion don't you think.

Frankly he has my vote, but I think many "typical" voters will be surprised to find that Dodd is not on the ballot when they go to vote-that story that Dodd has not chosen to run has just not gotten any traction here. In the local media, it has been a non-issue-like a Saturday morning beneath-the-the fold story. It is more of a story that Blumenthal has thrown his hat into the ring. Not that anyone here is shocked by that, Blumenthal has been using the media to make hay of every "consumer" issue to keep his image/name in the press for years.

I think the Reagan PAC (http://www.reaganpac.com/pledges.htm) is the way we need to go to vet any candidates. This will sift out the opportunists and progressives from the true patriots. If they are unwilling to sign their ethics and conservative principles pledge, they don't deserve our support IMO.
