I'am hoping for the best Dave, Todt must have realized the uproar Mosley caused and he appears to keeping his head down and distancing himself from that sort of stuff, well thats what I'am hoping anyway.

By the looks of things at the min there is really NO need at all to thinking about tinkering there are so many drivers MS VETTEL BUTTON ALONSO MASSA ect, out there that could win it. Hence it can't start soon enough..:)

You keep going on about this, but I really don't see the point of that argument:

    - Kimi is one of the richest drivers to come out of F1 (like #4 overall)
    - Kimi has won the WDC
    - Kimi has driven for Ferrari

So what else is there for him to pursue?

He had almost a decade of F1 and now does something that interests him more. What's wrong with that? Not everybody is a freak of nature like the Shoe who doesn't know when to stop or what to do with himself outside the cockpit.

The difference between Massa and Kimi's end to their F1 careers will be that Kimi managed a win in his last year and Massa won't: After his last Ferrari year, Massa will go back where he came from: #2 driver at some midfield team and hang in there for a few more years. Think Salo, Trulli, Fisichella.

Irvine was #2 and Kimi was either #3 or #4. Stewart is somewhere in that top group.

That was certainly true before the bubble burst. No idea whether it is still true. He had real estate around the world with a big chunk in FL.

Anyway, lets go back to Massa.

Despite all my comments and the fact that I don't like the guy, I will be rooting for him this season because he drives for Ferrari. And I'm pretty sure he will deliver some great results. Alonso is fantastic, but it doesn't hurt if your wingman gives you a nice challenge.

    Forza Fernando, forza Felipe!

(what a nice quadruple alliteration) :)

Massa may never be a wdc, or amongst the top earners, but at the end of his F1 career he'll still have earned a cool $50 million or so......

...and driven for Ferrari and won for Ferrari. That alone puts him into a nice elitist club.

My life dream would be to just once drive a Ferrari F1. Just once around the block would make my day. :)

I always feel sorry for anybody who gets to live out their childhood dreams!. :)

Like you, I'd be the happiest man on the planet just to be able to drive an F1 Ferrari anywhere (at 6' 2" though, I'd probably have to look at Berger's old 412 t2 but that would be just fine for Me. :) )

Still no real responses to the fact that Alonso ended up topping the time sheets at the end of the testing week ... I guess the Massa fans are playing "head in the sand" games ;).

Well we did discuss it in the Valencia testing times thread. The fact that Alonso beat Massa wasn't that astonishing by itself since the track got quicker as it rubbered in. What is impressive though is that it took Alonso only about 1/4 of the laps Massa did to get there. Then again Massa already set up the car.

While I'm happy as an Alonso fan, I don't make too much of it. Lets see where they stand after qualifying in Bahrain.

The fact that Alonso was a second faster than the Shue however made me really happy. Particularly after Brawn admitted to problems (which sadly now they say will be fixed by the next test).

    *yawn*

    probably more PR bull, hey?

Any lingering doubts over Michael Schumacher's fitness appear to have been dispelled with the news that his doctor was not present during testing at Jerez last week. At the first test of the 2010 pre-season at Valencia early this month, he was accompanied by his doctor Johannes Peil.

Reports at the time said that while Schumacher felt fully recovered from neck injuries sustained a year ago, Peil was on hand to check how it was standing up to the unique forces exerted by a F1 car.

"He was in Valencia to do some checks, as he has been with me very often in the past," Schumacher told F1's official website. "We wanted to make sure I am best prepared, and obviously I am, as we both didn't see the necessity to have him join me in Jerez."

Last week, Peil confirmed he was happy Schumacher's neck would stand up to racing. "Nothing is bothering him, he doesn't feel constrained or bothered," he said. "We already had this impression during the preparation period and this impression was confirmed after the first 40 laps."

I give it a few races before he starts feeling sore...those g forces will have its toll on him.

There's no way he can stop that from happening.
