its a little uncanny watching a turbo charged rice powered car blow by some of the most treasured historic race cars in the world - but fun to watch - yesterday I watched corvettes running on track with 40 year old Alfas so why not?

for contrast I will shoot some of that today.

kind like the Ferrari and the vintage Martini car shot - the Porsche is from the Collier Collection and just out for a little exercise.

    What? No Ferraris?!

I had heard Mike A passed recently. Too bad. A nice guy with a neat collection.

Looks like the normal turn-out. Good to see in this tough economic period.

That's a very special Evo. It was built by the guys who built Meg's 57 and restored my Lola. The motor was done by AMS. He's a very good driver finished 2 in class at a 6 hour Grand Am race at Daytona.

    Any Photos?

I was told he was recovering from another surgery, I believe it was knee surgery and he developed a complication that resulted in heart failure - long story short

Mike helped me start my business in 1994 and did me many favors. He did not have any sons but three daughters.
An MIT graduate Michael was meticulous about finances and a very hard nosed business man. I am sure the future of the collection was planned along time ago.
There is a 910 Porsche built into his home in NH. He also owned an F40, 512BB, and a F512M for all the Fcar fans.
I am still in a bit of shock.

With the boost turned up it can make over 1000 hp and with AWD it can put it down.

It won't run forever but until it needs to come in it's VERY fast.
