I will be driving to Lost Wages (Las Vegas) on the morrow. Some have told me to be careful since the CHP (California Highway Patrol) are no longer giving warnings on Thunder Road (I-15). I do not think they can catch me! Well, Mr. Motorola may be faster than me but not by much. It will be interesting. Bonzi!

Since I have no points any more, I can get 2 points on my driver’s license and still drive.

The only problem is the heating system. My wife will be in the car. Rats. She thinks a car should have a heater that works. The people in Italy do not understand this. Oh, well. The outside temperature will be in the 30s or 40s. There is no need for a heater. At my speed, my body is generating enough heat to keep me warm, not her. What am I to do.?

Happiness is driving a 550 Maranello.

I am glad I did not drive the beast. It rained, snowed, and with some hail. The car has dry tires. Driving in bad weather with dry tires is not something I wish to do.

I did along with my wife simulate the Las Vegas economy. Of course, I am evil since our President told all should not go to that city.

Be advised CHP is angy and pissed, and have no sense of humor or compassion. Caveat emptor

Flew into Vegas for a weeks stay. Picked up a rental and drove to LA (Fontana) for my nieces wedding on the weekend. My niece warned us that we better behave because if the CHP pulls you over it will cost about 300 bucks. On the way back to Vegas I'm cruising at 5 to 7 over the limit. About every 10 minutes or so a batch of black BMW, Mercedes, and other sport coupes zip by running 90 to 100mph. I was hoping for a Ferrari. I start to go around a slower car and all of a sudden a black something comes out of now where and pulls up on my tail. It takes about 10 seconds to recognize that it's a black unmarked Impala. I get around the car, tap the cruise down two notches and it stays on my bumper as I move back into the right lane. He stayed there for the next few nervous miles and then pulled out, waved good by and disappeared. A few miles up the road he had the last batch of cars that blew by pulled over. Long story short he was flying up behind a batch of cars, checking speed and if not speeding, blast up the highway to the next batch while not using radar. His speed was way over 100 based on the way he caught up to me and the next fast batch.
So the casino got the 300 bucks instead, UncleRay

Good luck on your race to Vegas. Let us know if you make it without getting a ticket.

Seems they're all that way now. They've got a directive to ticket for anything and everything especially if you look like you can be squeezed. Don't ask me how I know?

PS - I'm sure that they've been told if we can't generate more revenue they'll start cutting. As usual the average Joe/Jill takes the wrath.

Both driving and flying are more of a hassle right now.
