Most orgasmic piece of automotive engineering this side of a McLaren F1. Possibly even surpasses it.

I know, I know...the Zonda R is technically a race car, and the Macca a road car...

But it remains incredibly awe inspiring. Thanks for the pics.

There's a pretty cool video of one driving around the streets outside the factory...outrageous noise.

Does anyone know who Pagani uses for their Wind Tunnel testing?

Bill - Thanks for posting the pics. I love this car! You were very fortunate to catch a glimpse of this particular model. I hope to see one up and close one of these days!

I actually came here to say something very similar. If there is any car that I would consider the "McLaren F1 of our times" - the Zonda R would be it.

    Very cool!

No. The zonda R block is a high compression N/A engine....the C9 will maybe be on the same basis but lower compression and those silly turbo's added.

The zonda R is allegedly faster round the track than an FXX...

That's crazy FXX have 800 hp and Zonda R have 750 hp
Also Zonda F is faster than Enzo :)

    mr. Horacio is a genius

Everything about that car makes it look perfect.

The McLaren F1 look like a shopping cart compared with it.

A truly original supercar design. More and more these "ma and pa" supercars popping up all appear to be pulled from the same mold...at the price point these cars are sold at, I would expect nothing less than a unique and radical design...the zonda definitely fits this bill

Btw, one dude bought two. One to race and one to display in his living room. You can't top that.

I thought the same thing; very familiar shapes at the rear half... This [C9] will have a more pleasing silhouette :)

    well...you could race both:D

thought one...I LOVE the straight pipe'd AWE sound on the CGT, but the zonda with the optional inconel exhausts sounds more beautiful.

Very cool posting Bill, thanks for sharing. Love the old skool white ceramic coated 'pipes. Respect.

Perhaps we will just consider the Pagani Zonda as an honorary Ferrar Supercar eh?
