These things are a gimmick more than anything. I bought the K&N version for cheap but it ended up costing another $400 by the time I messed with it and had to replace the mass air sensor etc. after it got gummed up. I doubt that tube does much.

I've heard from multiple sources that aftermarket air cleaners (such as K&N) will void the factory warranty due to mass air sensor and other problems.

No, that is not legit. It is an orange hose where there used to be a black hose. The fact that fabspeed tries to pass that off as a cold air intake is insane. Look for the EVOMS kit, it has much better reviews and the sound is intoxicating.

These cars are pretty well tuned out the box, and you really wont pick much (any?) HP up with CAI or exhaust. Of course, there are DYNOs that substantiate and DYNOs that contradict that claim.

With exhaust and intake, my Porsche does not feel much faster, but it sure sounds it!

The best thing you can do to a 996/997 that is legit and verifiable is an ECU flash, a cat bypass and a sport muffler.

I wouldn't spend the money on that thing.

Im not looking to make it faster ( plenty fast for my commute in the pothole hell that Chicago is..), i just want to hear it better but i dont want to spend $3k+..

Catbypass looks interesting as i can do it myself and is really cheap..
