Yes,thats the one Moretti! Thanks.....must really learn how to do this..... Anyone know the car?......I'm just waiting to see what the asking $$$ will be.... Given CTS's recent asking $$$$ for a 308 QV I promise not to be surprised....LOL Pete
blurb says "The car has a great patina, with the original paint, upholstery and trim and requires only a little recommissioning to make it fully useable"... "only".. mmmm.. sounds like "real estate" speak aka "renovators delight". I thought "patina" might only genuinely apply to historic race car unrestored, for everyone else it just means $ to bring back to "useable" as per the blurb. No doubt won't change some sky high asking price! maybe "patina" even adds to it in their minds!
Tom Luxton, was the Mckewans? department stores. Early in that cars life it had fitted a 512 trans axle, can find out more from a nephew of toms,if you like.
According to the attached CTS Blurb....was delivered new by Lowe's in Melbourne....they were the original Fcar dealer before Lance Dixon's took over.... so Aussie car....2 owners only supposedly. Pete

Same colour as my 308 GTB. Maybe I should buy it and have matching V8s and V12's. Back in the 90's I had Blue Chiarro 328 and Testarossa in the garage
haha I was thinking of you when I saw the colour .... go on, you know it makes sense , AND you can drive it whenever you want AND it's Aussie delivered AND it has nice patina AND those cars would look great together
Yes. It's a really early 365BB, you can tell by the seats. The first BB into Oz back in the day was Pino Verdi and it was tested by motor magazine. I think it might have been this car.
They would be asking a bomb for it and it would require expensive recommissioning. There is a really original 365 BB down here that I would like if it comes up for sale. Current owner has had it for decades.
only because you're so anal about your cars I think a Boxer and a 308 are close to the perfect combination, although Greg's 246 and Boxer was pretty good All these modern cars are just TOO fast for our draconian laws, even 308/365s are too fast !! Today I was resting the foot on the throttle on the way to Byron Bay and it was screaming past all the tintop taxis
u should do what i did and use the old mans licence.........his expires this year.....bugga, he renewed it just before he died 10 years ago
360 I reckon as a sister to your 308 she's ideal mate!!! Looking at the pics. exhaust isn't original...from memory the 365's had three pipes each side? I understand Boxers were the last handbuilt cars in Scaglietti's bodyworks?? Lap only seat belts in 1975??? I thought the original BB tested by Motor was blue(or was that wheels???)I've got a reprint somewhere but it's in Black and White. I reckon a good boxer has to have appreciation value in future....look at Countach's from the same era??
I am not referring to cosmetic things. It would need a major service which is big dollars and in the course of that you would find all sorts of issues. This car would be full of deferred maintenance issues.
I see the CTS have dropped the price on their yellow Testicleroaster(LOL-I mean testarossa) and several other cars. Not Drug money any more...just stupid money for the asking $$$$ Lol, Ha Ha Pete
+1 they're over rated. Lovely to look at, exciting on start up, first 20 mins driving awesome, next 20 minutes(f@ck the cabin is getting hot, why is my back sticking to the seat?), next 20 minutes gotta get back home before I pass out from heat stroke, can't feel my left leg anymore....
