Amen to that. It's summer here in the land of Oz....my 348TS with the roof off is a rare bird indeed....sure not the fastest F car, but the speed Nazi's here castrate even the latest 458 Italia. Even standing still she sure turns heads

Real question is, is there a market for a 348? There maybe few for sell but also there may be few who are in the market for one... Most of the cars on the market now are not moving(355 and 360) so that leads to the question which model is in demand?
Thinking about it but the reason I put it out there is a friend wants a black one ....and he was having a hard time finding one.
Sadly can't see myself moving to the gold coast soon....but here's a pic Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats right, thank god their not 355's. Not with 355's issues, not worth it! Thats why my 348 is not for sale at any price, its a keeper!
The 348 actually represents the last all manual (no power steering) Ferrari that requires (and rewards) driving skill. As a result it is an extremely unique and visceral driving experience. It has a great, exotic look. Is a very reliable car (as long as it is maintained), with no inherent (and costly) problems. It was also made in much smaller numbers than the 308/328/355/360, which will make it more rare. All this adds up to a great experience as an owner, and I would bet, a great long term investment.
If you like the raw edged feel of driving a 348, there's not really any other Ferrari model you'd really want to get. Which is why a lot of us are constantly looking at ways to make it faster, rather than upgrade to a 360/430.
Here is mi contribution that it may be up for sale soon... the 348 vs 355 debate lives on. After owning 348 with miles I might add, i don't understand the bad press ... wonderful car GREAT sound with the right exhaust (not tubi). NO PROBLEMS. Very good model to begin with or keep and there are many thing your can do yourself with a little motivation ... Don't understand why people like the factory wheels on this car. They look good on other models but not on 348. Plus wider wheels corrects the handling issues of the early models... NOTHING beat the experience of owning a Ferrari! Image Unavailable, Please Login
~ I really do like everything about the 348 EXCEPT! their upside-down motorized seat belts. I don't think I [nor a passenger] could ever get quite used to them. IMHO p.s. I still want one
I also thought I'd not like the reversed belts, but after getting my 348, the belts really haven't bothered me at all, and I don't even notice them. Of course, you can disable the electric 'mouse belt', and just manually connect the shoulder belt instead, on the extra solid mount that's in the car. Don't let the belts worry you! Great shots of some great 348's! Even after 2yrs, I'm just beginning to own mine!
Also the last Ferrari w/out air bags, w/out a stereo, w/out multi-adjustible suspension, etc. You want heated power seats and lazer activated cruise control... get a Lexus. IMHO
