I've done the Grecian Formula, the Just For Men hair dyes, etc. but it was always getting grey...

I've read about taking in copper in my diet first using natural foods (Google it) then some supplements, some info on the subject:

    http://members.tripod.com/~charles_W/copper3.html

here is a table of foods rich in copper:

    http://members.tripod.com/~charles_W/copperzinc.html

I have been doing this with the addition of not shampooing my hair with shampoos but only with conditioners (the ingredients in shampoos are stripping nutrients from the hair), and using a coconut based natural hand lotion non-greasy formula (a couple of dabs) and comb it in my hair after showers, been doing it for over 2 months and I can say the grey hairs are coming in darker in color, my hair is much darker in color than when I started this regimen.

I'm 53 and my hair is much darker than my friends who are younger...

Nothing to hurt or costly... just make sure copper is not detrimental to your health.

You may get a kick out of this - my wife and I have an online business marketed to men losing their hair. Essentially, the product is a "concealer", designed to mask the thinning hair.

I grew a goatee for the hell of it - many gray hairs (it pains me to say!). I used our hair product and it covered up the grays like a champ!! I really looked a lot younger!

Of course, I shaved off the goatee - and most of my (thinning) hair - but I think a little gray hair makes a man look distinguished. No issues with it whatsoever.

Now, ear hair, eyebrow spurts, and nose hair - that's where I draw the line :)

There are some products out there but not sure of their claims...

    http://www.worldofhair.com/pro/foti.htm

    http://www.worldofhair.com/hair/gray.htm

I have nothing to do with these companies and don't endorse anything they sell... for all I know the product is no different than Grecian Formula in disguise...

The grey hair has to be treated internally by the hair root and how it's nourished... I believe the food intake regimen is what is changing my hair and not any one product.

Notice that the Foti extract and Emu oil is what's touted as the ingredients to revitalize the greying hair (my coconut based hand cream has similar ingredients) and it's a lot less cheaper.

Start gulping down lots of oysters/lobsters/beef/mushrooms in your diet and see what your results will be in a couple of months... if anything else you ate some good stuff... do the shampoo with conditioners only and you've got nothing to lose... it might just get some of the grey hairs manageable.

Of course you do. You're a pimp!

I haven't even considered doing it. The waxmissuss brings up subject of touching up "sideburns" once a year, so I trim "sideburns" a little.

I use just for men on occasion. I shave my head but do the 5'o-clock shadow thing when I have to perform anywhere. Works pretty well for that.

You know my mothers boyfriend was the same way. He was Grey in his 20's and now he is still going at 86 y/o. I didn't start going Grey until I hit 40. I haven't had my hair dyed in a few months because the salon I go to closed up shop. I won't let just anyone touch my head. So I haven't had a real hair cut in a while. I have been doing it myself in the mirror up until I went to the 500, I finally went and found a new stylist to clean up the mess I had been making. Still not too much grey yet.

Vitamin B12 will make hair grow in dark again. It won't change the gray you already have but will grow dark again from the roots.

The product my wife's company sells is something you brush on and it covers the gray nicely. Best thing is - it's semi-permanent (e.g., waterproof, but washes out with soap), so you can choose the look.

I always thought Grecian looked too phony - this product looks much better (but I may be biased).
