Hi, I have never been in Kong Kong, but my friend was there and some bad people from street gang attack him, after he come back from HK he say: now I know why Jackie Chan is so good fighter, this is the only way to survive in Hong Kong, LOL When I was student on universty I was work for one of swiss financial companies, you can't belive how many people from China call to us and ask how to deposit money in Switzerland, I remember that there was one lawyer who says that he represent private person from Guangzhou, he claims that his client want to deposit around 70 millions in american dollars, me and my friends could't belive there are so rich people in communism country. Now I know that people in China have enought money to make this country the biggest market for Ferrari. MY Thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=243391
My point is a different one. China will get allocated quite a few F70's as there are VVIP clients in China. It would not be anyone's first choice to buy an F70 in the resale market as there will no doubt be a premium and it is preferable to spec your own car. Don't underestimate that Ferrari appreciates the importance of China as a growing market
Just saw this tonight; what a tragedy, hope whoever was involved is ok. Looks like first impact on the front, then hit hard into a pole with the back. You can see the damage caused by the pole in the second pic right below the soft top. The rear axle was obviously broken with the wheel pushed about a foot into the car; definitely a total loss. Anyone know the story behind? Hope its not a member on here. Sorry for the crappy iphone pics Also saw a very nice Rosso F1 599 on t plates with ball polish CS wheels and mesh grille, quite an interesting color in real life. Well on average, China is not a rich country at all. However, when you have that many people, there are bound to be some very wealthy people. On a percentage basis, it's really pretty low. I heard there were 110K millionaires in Beijing, but there are like 15MM people there and it's the capital. You figure anyone who owns anything of size/success in such populated places is pretty wealthy. China has the 3rd largest economy in the world, so there must be a lot of money. HK is far different than China. I don't think they are comparable, but Shanghai will catch up eventually and probably overtake/replace it.
Mansory 599 (pic from another forum). Surely the same owner as the Mansory Bentley, Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure about the 599, but I think he has a Zonda Cinque. There is an orange/black combo just like that bentley.
One of my colleagues at work was trying to explain a strange white Ferrari she saw in Central. This must be it! I assume this also belongs to the chap with the Mansory FS as my colleague saw it in the same place as I regularly see the orange/black FS.
I concur. Also the light seems particularly suited to taking photos that day. I got a similar result with a nice 599 GTB:
