I know this sounds like a stupid question and I guess it is.... But what does everyone do for touch-up paint? Dealer or is there a good place on line to order from.

I can't comment on others but I have found that even if you have the original paint job it has dulled over time. If you have a new repaint job it may not match the original color. So what I have done is go to a PPG auto paint business or even some good paint shops and let them do a color match. I had mine done at a PPG paint store. My car was clean and polished so it was what I would call the best as possible for the technique. They take a camera and take a picture on a flat part of the body (engine cover). They plug the camera into their computer and it spits out the color mixture. The do the mix and for me it was a perfect match. I got 1/2 pint and they gave me 2 touch up paint bottles. I seem to recall it cost me $25.

I've gotten touch up from paintscratch.com. Gave them the code off the car and the touch up has been a perfect match.

They were the ONLY ones who could come up with VERNICE 133M7 MARRONE DINO MET. Supposedly only 14 cars ever left the factory in that color. Very rich color in-person. No pic comes close to doing it justice.

They were like, "VERNICE 133M7 MARRONE DINO MET .... Let me see ..... YEP! No Problem. Can do !!!! On the way !!!!!!" [click]

Price was ridiculessly fair. I'd gladly spent 4 times as much.

Had it in 10 days in Germany. One class act. From my experience - HIGHLY recommended.

    Of course, YMMV.

They were able to mix Rosso Corsa as single stage paint, just like what's on the car. And it was a perfect match.

DO NOT USE www.touchup123.com. I read good things about them, but sent them $100 for touchup for all my cars about 4 months ago. Never received anything but the run around...still trying to get my money back.

I went to my local Ferrari dealer and asked for some...they told me they
usually don't sell it but if the body shop had some it was fine....I was lucky cause
they were painting a 355 corsa rosso that day :)... Cost me $15 for a
    decent amount

My dealer had no problem mixing it and I paid $25 for a good bottle with brush

+1 That's the right way to do it. Classic Coach did that for me for the 308. For the 550, they just put some Pozzi Blue paint in a bottle at the time they resprayed the front prior to my purchase.

    -1 on paintscratch.

Paintscratch did not match my Rosso Corsa at all. But it did match some other items that I had. Ford cardinal red was a really good match and could be found at Walmart. But like someone said, these paints fade and there were some paint to paint variations even from the factory, so who knows.
